At Christ Church, we answers Jesus' call to:
Gather
Inclusive community. Transform
Share your story. Practice your passion. Nourish your spirit. Engage
Love your neighbor. Feed those who hunger. Advocate for justice. Everyone, even young children, sinners, saints, church-goers, church-skeptics, theological perfectionists, those who find comfort in ambiguity, and the gluten-averse, is invited to
receive communion. The altar is God’s table, not ours. Come to the communion rail and stand or kneel as you prefer. Seriously, you don’t have to do what everyone else does. Do what feel right to you! After Sunday services we invite you to join us in the parish hall for coffee at the far end of the courtyard for pastries and conversation. If you have trouble hearing the service, the greeters can direct you to a listening device. Our church nursery is open from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm on Sunday. If you’d like your child to take communion, please let the child care staff know. Know that the joy and chaos of young children are welcome in our church and may represent the Holy Spirit better than you grown-ups do. There is also a play area for children at the back of the church. They can play there quietly or take one of the grab bags back to the pew with you. Sunday school for children and teens is offered on most Sunday mornings. Our program for Pre-K through 5th grade, gathers at 10am in the Education Building. Children join their families in church just before communion. Please ask a greeter for information. Youth AM, our Middle and High School program, meets from 9:00 am -10:00 am for breakfast and conversation. Following Youth AM teens volunteer in the Sunday School classrooms or join their families in the 10:15 am service. Ask an usher or someone else who looks like they know what they’re doing for directions to the Sunday school.
