Yesterday, May 18, was Haitian Flag Day, a day of deep pride, remembrance, and celebration for the Haitian people.
Haitian Flag Day commemorates the creation of Haiti’s flag in 1803 during the Haitian Revolution, when leaders gathered at the Congress of Arcahaie and formed a new symbol of freedom, unity, and independence. The blue and red flag became a powerful declaration that Haiti would no longer be defined by oppression, but by courage, dignity, and hope.
Across Haiti and throughout the Haitian diaspora, this day is often celebrated with music, parades, food, cultural gatherings, patriotic displays, and gratitude for the resilience of the Haitian people.
At Supply and Multiply, Haiti is not just a place on a map. Haiti is home to friends, partners, students, pastors, children, and elderly loved ones whom we are blessed to know and serve.
We honor Haiti’s history.
We celebrate Haiti’s people.
We continue to pray for Haiti’s future.
