For many Christians, the Trinity can feel like a confusing math problem or an abstract theological riddle meant only for academics.

In Ephesians 5:22–33, Paul explicitly connects the creational pattern of marriage to the mystery of Christ and the Church. He writes, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church” (Ephesians 5:31–32, NIV).

The Bible draws a clear and necessary line between the Creator and the creation. While God is completely holy and sacred, the physical world itself is not. This biblical form of "desacralization" protects us from the ancient pagan temptation to worship nature, directing all of our reverence solely to the Creator where it belongs.
