First Presbyterian Church of Alabaster A faithful community serving residents of Alabaster and the surrounding communities with the good news of Christ's kingdom.

We are a congregation who understands the call of the gospel is a call to serve God, our neighbors, and each other. We gladly engage in mission trips, sponsor Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, come to the aid of church members and others when we can help. We value our youth and children, and take every opportunity to celebrate, engage in fellowship, and participate in denomination work extending the globe. Our door is open and we encourage new ways to celebrate life lived in community.

Prayers of sympathy and comfort to Marcia Allen and family at the death of her father, Leonard Lafayette Joiner, who passed away on October 16, 2026. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11 am at Mr. and Mrs. Allen's church, Siluria Baptist Church in Alabaster. The funeral service will be held at noon (also at Siluria Baptist). Interment will follow at Pinelawn
Gardens, Columbiana, Alabama.

Mr. Joiner was a committed member of Siluria Baptist Church for 68 years where he served in many ways including Chairman of Deacons, Board of Trustees, Pastor Search Committee, Sunday school teacher and choir member.

Come help our Men's Fellowship while you spend an evening with Professional Nature Photographer David Frings. He'll be sharing a presentation and many photos of his recent trip to the Galapagos Islands.

We'll meet in the Fellowship Hall. Pizza will be served and all donations received will go to the Men's Fellowship to fund their yearly activities.

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions with this hurricane, the Pumpkin Patch will be closed today, and tomorrow morning. If the weather improves we may be open tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for details. Most importantly, however, stay safe! Our prayers are with all those in its path.
