“One man lost control of his anger and took a life. He became a fugitive, later struggled again with anger, and at times questioned whether he was capable of doing what God asked of him.
Another surrendered to lust, abused his position, betrayed others, fathered a child through adultery, and helped engineer circumstances that ended in an innocent man’s death. His choices brought devastating consequences to his own household.
A third was intensely religious, self-righteous, and so convinced he was serving God that he persecuted innocent people, imprisoned believers, and supported their deaths.
Murder. Adultery. Betrayal. Rage. Persecution. Lives carrying failures that, by human standards, should have disqualified them.
Yet God saw beyond their worst chapters.
Their names were obviously Moses, David, and Paul.
Like so many horribly flawed human beings in the Bible, you and I are no less broken…no less in need of God’s merciful redemption.
Never mistake someone’s worst moment for the end of their story.
God has always been remarkably good at writing redemption into the lives of deeply flawed people. Rest in Heaven Jim Bakker.”
