We are blessed as a parish community to be St. Christina’s temporary home!

After being housed in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for a century, the relics of St. Christina, an early Christian martyr, were moved recently to St. Sebastian Parish in Akron. Extensive interior renovations to the cathedral are underway and necessitated the relocation. “We gather here ...

More than a symbol. More than a tradition.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life, the true presence of Christ, and the food that sustains our souls.

All are welcome to join us for Eucharistic adoration every Tuesday following 8:00 am Mass and ending with Benediction at 7:40 pm.

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. On this day, we honor the heart of Jesus and His abounding love for humanity. ❤️🔥

The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart was added to the Church’s calendar in 1856 but has earlier roots following the visions of Jesus from Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. Through her revelations about Jesus’ sacred heart, Sr. Margaret Mary encouraged a Thursday Holy Hour, First Friday Communion and the celebration of today’s feast.

As part of the 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the USCCB has consecrated the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A new face, a big heart for Christ, and exciting things ahead for our youth ministry!💚💛

We are excited to welcome Mallory Palagyi as the new Youth Minister at St. Sebastian Parish.

Mallory has a passion for helping young people encounter Christ and grow in their faith. We are thrilled to have her leading and helping build our high school and middle school youth ministry programs.

Be sure to stop by and meet Mallory after all Masses on June 28! She’ll be sharing a little about herself and her vision for youth ministry at St. Sebastian.

Until then, keep an eye on the bulletin for updates and follow our NEW Youth Ministry Instagram page: .sebastianym

You may have seen in this past Sunday's bulletin a new feature highlighting treasures from our parish archives! Over the past several months, our archives team has been hard at work scanning, cataloging, and digitizing historical photos, documents, and records that tell the story of our parish community through the years. In the weeks ahead, we will be sharing some of these special images and memories with you in the bulletin and on our social media. Along the way, we may even need your help identifying a year, event, or familiar faces from the past!

If you have information, photos, or items to share or would like to help with our archival efforts, please contact the Archives Team at [email protected].

Yesterday, we celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, rejoicing in the true presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

As part of this beautiful feast, we held our annual Eucharistic Procession, bringing Christ out into our neighborhood as a public witness of faith and devotion. Parishioners of all ages joined together in prayer, song, and adoration as we walked with Our Lord through the our community.

This year’s procession also served as a poignant and fitting farewell to Fr. Marcelli as he prepares to begin his new assignment at St. Gabriel Parish. We are grateful for his faithful ministry among us and were blessed to accompany him one final time in this cherished parish tradition.

Beautiful story about Fr. Joseph’s faith journey that led him to Cleveland. Excited to welcome him as our new parochial vicar this week.

How long does it take you to get to Mass? For many it’s likely just a few minutes. But for the family of Father Truong “Joseph” Viet Ho, the 8,500-mile trip to his first Mass as a priest took more than 24 hours of travel. [image:3] Father Ho was among the six...
