In two weeks, The Very Reverend Father John Valencheck will be our guest speaker! He will be discussing relics, and we look forward to hearing what he has to say about the Catholic view of them. We hope to see you at this event!

The Young Adult Group is meeting this Sunday, August 30, for a hike with our very own Fr. Joseph! The hike begins at 6:30pm at the Ira Trailhead in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Please note the time change for this Sunday only.

There will be no Young Adult meeting on Sunday, September 6, due to the Labor Day holiday.

Our parish and school community gathered for Mass this morning as Fr. Valencheck blessed the backpacks of our students and prayed for the school year ahead. 🎒

As a new school year begins this week, we pray for all students, families, and teachers. May they be guided by Christ, strengthened by His love, and reminded that In His Heart We Belong.

May God bless all those beginning a new school year! 💚💛

Our Burning Hearts Young Adult Ministry is kicking back with a movie night! 🎬🔥
Join us this Sunday, August 23, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. in Byrider Hall for The Greatest Game Ever Played—a story of perseverance, discipline, and pursuing the impossible.
The movie starts at 7:10 p.m. Bring your own blanket, get comfortable, and enjoy a relaxed evening with other young adults from the parish and community.

Today is the feast day of St. Pope Pius X.
⁣
Pope Pius X, born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto, was a humble man from a poor family. When he became pope, he was not enamored with the elaborate papal court traditions.
⁣
He encouraged Catholics to be involved with politics and fought to end the veto power that neighboring governments had over the papacy.
⁣
His heart belonged to the poor, especially children. He was devoted to continual reception of the Eucharist and lowered the age that children could first receive the sacrament.
⁣
He preached against war and violence and died shortly after the beginning of World War I.
⁣
He is the patron of first communicants, catechists, and pilgrims.
⁣

Thank you to all our families who joined us for Popsicles on the Playground! It was wonderful to see so many parish families come together for an evening of fun, fellowship, and playtime.
