We are grateful that God is both patient and merciful!

He is patient, which means he gives us more time and opportunity to get right with him than we deserve.

He is merciful, which means when we are ready to get right with him we can simply receive the gift of life rather than trying to earn it.

Want to learn more about how to receive God’s mercy? Send us a message and a pastor will reach out to you!

We’d love to have you join us for our upcoming trip to the Akron Zoo!

This fun, annual event is an opportunity for our church family to relax and connect in a fun environment.

It’s open to all ages, and we’ll provide a free bagged lunch to everyone who registers in advance at Connect Central.

Up to four tickets are free to Summit County residents, but you need to obtain your tickets through the zoo’s website here: AkronZoo.org/community-days

Hope you can make it!

Yesterday our guest speaker, John McCaw, spoke about the life of faith as a race (from Hebrews 12).

He reminded us that motivation may help us start a race, but discipline and perseverance will keep us going when the race gets tough!

We must fix our eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross and opposition from sinners to save us and to take his place on the throne.

We also must remember those who went before us, giving us an example of faith that endures through every circumstance.

Have a passion for hospitality?

Want to help us build a church where people are well-connected, well-disciples, and well-cared for?

Consider becoming a host or facilitator for our fall session of Connect Groups!

A host’s job is to create an environment where everyone in your small group feels welcome, and you can host a group in your home, at a restaurant, at the park, or at the church. If you’re a welcoming person but don’t feel comfortable leading a group, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Facilitators are Partners (members of Movement Church) who lead Connect Groups. In some cases facilitators are teachers, but in many they simply serve as the discussion leaders for the group.

New groups begin on September 20th. Let us know today if you’re interested in serving somehow!

On Sunday morning, as our lead pastor was wrapping up his message on the faith of Noah, the power suddenly went out—cutting all of the lights, our livestream, and all of the other tech in the sanctuary.

If you were watching the livestream, you missed the thing that happened next.

Instead of ending our service, we just kept going.

Our pastor took off his mic and preached a little louder.

Our worship team made some quick adjustments and lined themselves up at the front of the stage.

And they invited everyone to come forward so we could sing together, without the aid of additional amplification.

For those that were present, it was a special, intimate moment of worship with all of the extra things stripped away.

We’re grateful today that worship can happen anywhere, and that church is wherever God’s people are gathered.

Who knows what could happen this weekend! Consider joining us Sunday morning at 11.

Hey friends! Sorry for the abrupt ending to the livestream this week! The church lost power! Can’t wait to see you back next week though!

As kids, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, custodians, and other school staff and volunteers begin a new school year this week, we want to encourage you to pray for them and the year ahead!

Pray for their safety.

Pray for their growth.

Pray for their relationships.

Pray for their families.

Pray that Christ would be glorified through the believers in the schools.

Pray for wisdom and courage for the decision-makers.

Overall, pray that God would be glorified in this new school year!

At our Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, the guys enjoyed some delicious biscuits and gravy, competed in a word-puzzle challenge, and discussed a passage from Jude.

Thanks to everyone that either helped put the event together or helped with cleanup afterward!

“But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, ‘In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.’ These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” (Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬)
