East Market Church

East Market Church We're dedicated to verse by verse teaching, discipleship at every age, and the Lordship of Jesus Christ over His church.

We believe that Christ is our example for living, and the Great Commission is our highest calling. EMC is as much a family as it is an assembly of believers, understanding that we are all different - but unified in Christ. At EMC people can expect to be welcomed no matter what their story is, encouraged to ask questions and seek biblical truth as we all continue to grow in Christ in Bible studies,

study groups and fellowship. We strive to be transparent in leadership, patient and understanding with others and eager to grow in Christ likeness. We are all about equipping the saints through the scriptures, so that we can minister to others according to our gifts.

Competing Conquests - Christianity and Islam

The kingdom of God as presented in Christianity is about expansion, conquest even. The same idea is found in Islam, but the way these two ideologies go about achieving this goal couldn’t be more different.

Progressivism, which on paper doesn’t seem to have anything at all in common with Islam has allied itself with it. But what may not make much sense at first comes into focus the closer we look at WHY these two ideologies have come together. Hatred for the West.

Twisting the meaning of “empathy”, Christian compassion is used against those who love the Lord & the scriptures. The only way back is for courageous men and women to stop bowing to the world’s demands & definitions - and to have a greater fear of God than of the world.

For years we have strongly pushed back on the “Passion” Bible translation. Yet in spite of warnings from many believers, scholars and Christian leaders - this “Bible” is still being widely used in sermons and in personal Bible reading in many circles.

The passion translation is built on lies, plagiarism & false doctrine. RUN from anyone preaching or teaching from this fraudulent book.

‼️WARN any pastor you may currently be learning from if he uses it. And if the warning is rejected, LOOK FOR A NEW CHURCH that holds the word in high regard. The problems with this translation are that serious & pastors who aren’t willing to honestly evaluate what they feed the flock cannot be trusted.
