God isn’t asking for perfection—He’s asking for our hearts. ❤️

In Psalm 50:7–15, God reminds His people that He doesn’t need sacrifices or empty rituals. Everything already belongs to Him. What He desires is thanksgiving, trust, and hearts that call on Him in times of trouble.

When life feels heavy, remember this promise: “Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.” (Psalm 50:15)

You don’t have to have it all together to come to God. Bring your gratitude. Bring your worries. Bring your prayers. He is listening.

Sometimes life brings us to a place where we realize we cannot do it all on our own. In Hosea 5:15—6:6, God calls His people to return to Him—not with empty words or routine religion, but with hearts seeking His mercy, love, and presence.

God reminds us that He desires steadfast love more than sacrifice, relationship more than ritual. No matter how far we’ve wandered, His invitation remains: Come back. Seek Me. Know Me.

Today, take a moment to turn toward the One whose love never gives up on you. God’s mercy meets us even in our wandering and calls us into something deeper.

“Let us press on to know the Lord.” (Hosea 6:3)

The weeks of summer coincide with the beginning of the Pentecost season. Summer brings sunny warmth, growing crops, and the promise of harvest: images of the Holy Spirit’s presence and activity in our lives, the church, and the world. Hosea speaks of God’s presence as the dawn, as a gentle shower, as light. In our life together as a community of faith, what needs light, warmth, and watering to grow and flourish? How might we be attentive to others’ needs to receive this nourishment through God’s words of life and holy supper?
