Acts 2:37-38 - Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Happy Birthday to all of our September friends!

As you celebrate another year of life, we pray the blessing of Numbers 6:24–26 (KJV) over you:

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

May this new year bring you the goodness, favor, peace, and presence of God. Happy Birthday from your Believer’s Community Church family!

Go to the Book of Psalms, use your birth month as the chapter and your birth day as the verse, and see what Scripture meets you there.

Believer’s Community Church was established on July 6, so ours takes us to Psalm 7:6: “Arise, O Lord, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.”

Now it’s your turn!
Drop your Psalm in the comments.

Don’t just give us the chapter and verse—write out what it says so we can read the Word together. You never know who may need the very Scripture connected to your day.
Let’s fill these comments with the Word of God!

Today, August 31, Believer’s Community Church recognizes International Overdose Awareness Day. We remember those whose lives have been lost to overdose, stand with families carrying the weight of that loss, and encourage those who are struggling today: there is still help, there is still hope, and recovery is possible.

As the Church, our response cannot end with “we’re praying for you.” Prayer matters deeply, but love must also move our hands and feet. We can learn the signs of overdose, keep naloxone available, help someone connect with treatment, support families without judgment, check on people who are struggling, and refuse to allow shame to keep someone from asking for help. Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose and is available over the counter in all 50 states.

If you believe someone is overdosing, call 911 immediately, administer naloxone if available, keep the person breathing if possible, place them on their side to help prevent choking, and stay with them until emergency help arrives.

And if you are the one who needs help, please reach for it. Talk to someone you trust, a healthcare professional, or a recovery-support organization. Asking for help is not something to be ashamed of or to hide from.

Somebody ought to stop right here and say, “Thank You, Jesus. I was the one.”

He left the ninety-nine for the one who had wandered. The one who was missing. The one who needed to be found. And when He found that one, heaven rejoiced.

Selah.

Think about the places His grace came looking for you. Think about what could have happened, but mercy intervened. Think about how patiently He loved you, carried you, corrected you, and brought you back.

Today, don’t rush past that kind of love. Just sit with it for a moment and be grateful.

He came for me.
He found me.
Thank You, Jesus.
