RooCatholic Campus Ministry A place to belong: we are the Newman Catholic Campus Ministry at The University of Akron. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the St.

We are the Roman Catholic Ministry for The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Bernard's Newman Center for dinner fellowship and growth in our relationship with Christ. During the school year, we hold a student Mass at St. Bernard's Parish on Sunday's at 8:00 pm featuring contemporary Christian Music. Throughout the school year, we also plan, host or participate in different events including Chris

tmas Break and Spring Break Service Trips, Annual Valentine's Dance, Festival of Praise and many more. RooCatholic is here to celebrate with you in the good times, and support you through the bad. At RooCatholic you will be challenged, encouraged, and pushed to encounter Jesus Christ on a real and personal level. RooCatholic offers companionship that will allow you to experience the overflowing mercy and love God has to offer each and every person. And-- when you encounter this love your life will change radically. Human beings are created for fellowship and community. We all face sorrows and joys, trials and triumphs, on our journey to the Kingdom of God. We are also on Twitter and Instagram and YouTube RooCatholic Campus Ministry.

Baccalaureate Mass was a success! We enjoyed a lovely dinner by the Diocese of Cleveland at the Green Dragon! 🐉

The final stretch before graduation filled with laughter and the best company. It’s times like these when we can slow down and appreciate this community we have built. Thank you Jesus for giving us this life and filling us with your spirit to spread this joy in all we do!

ZIPS! We are nearing the end of the school year! Join us this Wednesday 4/29 to celebrate our graduates! We are so proud of them and their accomplishments. Help us honor and bless them at the Baccalaureate Mass held 4/29 at St Bernard’s starting at 6:30pm! There will be a reception after at the Green Dragon Inn.

Last night at Newman we enjoyed a lovely talk from Dr Megan Lowe’s-Bolin on what finding our community after college looks like! A great time of reflection on where we see ourselves growing as well as who we surround ourselves with as we do so! Visit churches, be open to new environments! See what you do and don’t like in a parish and ultimately choose what makes you feel at home!

This was our last regular Newman on the year! Join us next week for a Baccalaureate Mass honoring our graduates! More to come on that!
