It's easy to only celebrate God when life is going well. But real faith learns how to praise in seasons that make no sense. πŸ™πŸΎ

Anybody can celebrate when prayers are answered quickly, money is good, relationships are healthy, and life feels stable. But what about the seasons where you are tired, grieving, waiting, rebuilding, or trying to hold yourself together? That is where joy becomes deeper than emotion.

The joy of the Lord is not pretending life is perfect. It is the confidence that God is still good even when life feels uncertain. It is choosing gratitude before circumstances change. It is remembering that His presence is still enough.

You do not need a perfect week to worship.
You do not need a painless season to celebrate.
Jesus is already the reason. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

πŸ‘‰πŸΎ What season has God helped carry you through recently?

Faith should shape not only how we worship, but also how we serve, lead, and participate in our communities. Join us for β€œWhat Am I Voting For?”, a community conversation designed to help break down election ballots and provide clarity on important issues many people feel overwhelmed by.

At The House of the Lord, we believe informed conversations create stronger communities. This is a safe space to listen, learn, and grow together. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

The most demanding boss in your life might be you. Let that sink in. πŸ‘€

Hustle culture promises freedom, but often creates a life where you never truly clock out. It convinces people that worth is measured by productivity, titles, and accomplishments. Before long, rest feels irresponsible and slowing down feels like failure.

But God never designed His children to live as slaves to endless striving!

When every moment has to be productive, work stops being a gift and starts becoming a god. Sometimes the Pharaoh keeping you exhausted is not around you. It's the pressure you've allowed to live within you.

πŸ’¬ What is one area of life where you need to give yourself permission to slow down?

Some people feel invisible long before anyone notices. They show up for everybody else. They carry responsibilities nobody thanks them for. They keep smiling while privately wondering if anybody truly sees how tired they are.

God does not only see the version of you that performs well in public. He sees the parts of your life nobody applauds. The quiet sacrifices. The hidden grief. The pressure you never talk about. The moments where you feel overlooked, forgotten, or emotionally exhausted. And still, He stays near. πŸ’™

A lot of people believe they are loved because of what they produce, fix, provide, or accomplish. But God’s love was never built on your performance. He sees you for who you are, not just for what you do. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

You are not invisible to God. Not in your waiting, in your serving, in your struggle, or in your healing.

πŸ’¬ What is one moment in your life where you truly felt God saw you personally?

What if the thing you're chasing is the very thing enslaving you? The world says your value comes from your output. God says your value was settled long before your next accomplishment.

Sabbath is more than rest. It is a declaration that the Pharaohs of this world do not own you. Your job is not your provider. Your schedule is not your source. God is. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

Every time you choose to rest, you are choosing trust over striving and freedom over bo***ge.

πŸ’¬ What helps you slow down and refocus on God when life gets busy? Your answer could be exactly what someone else needs to hear today!

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-Matthew 11:28 πŸ“–

A lot of people treat Sunday like a spiritual reset button, then spend the rest of the week living like they heard nothing. But if God is actually speaking to us, shouldn’t something change?

A real encounter with God does not stay inside four walls for two hours. It follows you into your Monday attitude, your conversations, your decisions, and the way you treat people when nobody is watching. πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

πŸ’¬ What is something from a recent sermon or service that stayed with you after Sunday was over? How has it actually changed the way you live?

Before the summer gets busy, take a moment to nourish your spirit. First Sunday Prayer offers a chance to pause, refocus, and reconnect with God. In a fast-paced world, we choose to slow down, to pray, and to realign.

Let's start the month feeling grounded, thankful, and guided by the One who orchestrates everything. Relationships are key, and tonight, we nurture the most vital one. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’™
