When you know who you are, you stop fighting the wrong battles.

Our identity in Christ tells us where we belong, reminds us that we are wanted, and changes how we respond when life gets difficult. We belong to the body of Christ. We’re surrounded by saints. And our fight isn’t against the person who irritated us, disappointed us, or disagreed with us.

There is a spiritual battle, and knowing who we are helps us recognize the real enemy. And while we live faithfully here, we remember where home is. Our citizenship is in heaven. 🙌🏾

Fall is almost here, and that means cooler evenings, changing leaves, and plenty of reasons to get outside. 🍂☕🙌🏾

Want to enjoy the season AND build meaningful community? Try one of these:

🥾 Invite a friend for a walk or hike.
☕ Grab coffee with someone you haven’t seen in a while.
🍎 Plan a fall outing with another family.
🍂 Get a group together for an afternoon at the park.
🤝 Invite someone to church and grab lunch afterward.
📖 Get connected to a class or group at THOTL and grow together.

Because the best part of any season isn’t what you’re doing. It’s who you’re sharing it with. 💜

Pain can make everything feel personal. When you’re hurt long enough, the question can quickly become, “How do I make this stop?” And before you realize it, protecting yourself matters more than preserving relationships.

That’s why we need people around us who keep calling us back to who we are in Christ. When relationships are filled with joy, steadfast love, and a shared identity in Jesus, we’re less likely to let pain decide how we treat people.

Relationships are everything. Especially when you’re hurting. 💜
