HAPPENING RIGHT NOW - the monthly BASIS Support Group meeting at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA - hosted and led by Dan and Phyllis Steinman.

Dan shared today at our noon HVMI prayer time that there could be a few new bereaved parent couples coming tonight for the first time.

Pray for each bereaved parent who attends - that they would be encouraged by the devotional, the sharing, the prayer time and the fellowship. We count it a privilege to come alongside bereaved parents as they continue on in their grief journeys.

Thanks for your prayers for tonight's meeting.

Weekend retreat at Traber Center (next to Camp Sankanac, Spring City, PA) - this morning through Sunday afternoon.

Our Conquerors camper group was getting BIG in recent summers. So we set an age limit and "graduated" older Conquerors into a new Bible Conference group and arranged a retreat weekend for them instead of a Day Camp session - and the retreat starts at 10 am TODAY!

We had 15 "guests" registered and two dropped out in the last two days for various reasons. But we trust the other 13 will arrive and enjoy a great time together (10 gals - 2 of them are brand new to Handi*Camp but have attended two of our Bible studies over recent years - and 3 guys). Most of them have known each other for recent Day Camp sessions (and some are veteran overnight campers as well). Pray for Kim, Maribeth (our "newbies"), Jenna, Jana, Erica, Leah, Chris, Caryn, Erin, Kayla, Josh D, Peter, Rafael. And pray for Annette and Josh G who aren't coming now.

We have HVMI staffers (Kyle, Chris, Tim, Kathy, Tara, Meghan, Lauren, Gloria, Tammy, Leah) and some other camp staff volunteers (Dane, Brian, Annalise, Jessie, Jacqueline, Patti, Kim) helping through the weekend. Some staff kids are hanging out, too - Hannah, Wesson, Jackson, Hudson.

Meghan will teach three chapels on our summer HO, HO, HO RODEO theme that's carrying through to this retreat time. Patti and Jacqueline will be Bible teachers. Leah and Jessie are our nursing team. Chris leads activities with help from others on electives, etc. Camp Sankanac has boating and fishing that guests can enjoy as electives. Some Country/Western activities will be woven through the weekend to keep with the theme.

Thanks for your prayers for this weekend as it gets started and moves through Sunday afternoon. We have volunteer Prayer Partners praying for each guest by name during the weekend, too. These camp friends LOVE being together and we trust and pray for a wonderful time in God's Word and lots of fun activities as they enjoy an overnight experience again or for the first time.

Brian's (MY!) Aug 2026 edition of "Robinsons' Review" prayer letter is newly posted on my missionary page - along with a page showing Day Camp group photos from this summer (https://www.hvmi.org/brian-robinson) - use the link below my photo there to view these pages.

Check out our big family news - DOWNSIZING to a house in Akron just one mile from our HVMI office and property! This post is timely - we settle on the house tomorrow morning and will move in on Aug 25. Our closing on the sale of our Fivepointville home is Aug 31. Thanks for praying for us as we finish packing and then unpack and settle in to our new home in the weeks to come.

The rest of my letter focuses on all God did during the 11 sessions of Day Camp 2026 - and the beautiful day we had Aug 1 for our Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Multi-Purpose Building (construction to start SOON!). Check out all the photos from these summer happenings. My letter ends with a few closing comments and prayer items.

Thanks SO MUCH for your prayers. Please make a note of our new address at the bottom of the letter and update us in your address book or database so no future mail goes to Denver, PA. Jot me an email at [email protected] with any comments or encouragements. Thanks again for your love and support for our ministries and our family.

Tim and Kathy's latest "Thank You and Ministry Update" letter is available to read on their missionary page of our website (https://www.hvmi.org/tim-kathy-sheetz) - use the link below their photo there to access current and back editions of their letters.

They give God all the glory for all that was accomplished during Day Camp 2026 and what's still to come the rest of the summer. They share stories of God at work in lives, His protection and safety for us at camp and ways God used them both through the summer. They give some updates on HVMI ministry - including the soon start of construction of the Multi-Purpose Building on our property here in Akron. They end the letter with some neat family updates - including two new great grandbabies expected in Sept and March (joining one year old cousin Avery). What a blessing!

ALSO - reminder that Tim authors a monthly grief blog for bereaved parents that's posted on our website (https://www.hvmi.org/grief-blog) - check out his August one and past blogs as well.

Jot Tim and Kathy a note to let them know you're praying for them ([email protected], [email protected]). And thanks for those prayers!

SO - Lesson on the Lawn became Lesson on the Porch tonight due to a rain storm that started just before starting time. About 7 club participants attended - and some staff and volunteers who helped by holding umbrellas along the side of the porch to keep folks dry. Just as Meghan was closing in prayer, a rainbow shone over the HVMI office. The short video clip shows some lightening in the distance, too.

Ray is one of our veteran clubbers and campers. His mom told him before they were leaving their home in Lebanon that it was probably going to rain - did he still want to go to club? He got his coat on and went to the car! She said it's a sure sign of his love for our ministry that he would come in the rain. And when he saw the rainbow, he did a happy dance and said - "Peace, Be Still."

Thank the Lord for a safe and successful club time. One of the clubbers was new to our ministry and hopes to return next week with a friend. We look forward to two more Thursday clubs and sharing God's Word with friends new and old. Thanks for praying!
