‼️ Hey, AFBCkids fam!!! As the summer is winding down, we want to make sure you’re aware of several changes coming up in the life of the children’s ministry!
First, tomorrow is Blessing of the Backpacks, so make sure to have your little ones bring their backpacks down with them during the Children’s Moment! 🎒 They will receive a button that they can carry with them as a reminder and blessing all year!
Second, our annual Summer Share Sunday Service is coming up next Sunday, July 26th at 11:00 a.m.! Children participating in the service will need to meet in the sanctuary at 10:15 to rehearse (Matt will collect those who are participating from Sunday School). This will be our last service in the sanctuary before renovations move worship to the Fellowship Hall in August. More details to come on where children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church will move, but for now, they will remain in the old parlor and bridal room.
Third, we are still in need of several volunteers for the upcoming church year, both on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Matt will be reaching out this week to those who have expressed interest, but if you haven’t reached out yet, please do so ASAP! Whether it’s working in the Nursery with babies, Mission Friends with preschoolers, or Sunday School with 1st-5th Graders, we have a spot for YOU!!! 🫵🏻❤️
Last of all, keep your eyes and ears open for updates on the work happening to our upstairs children’s hallway! News is coming about what is being done, what we’re still working on, and when a Grand Opening event might be!!! We can’t wait to show you!!! 🥳
