Christ's Way Christian Church

Christ's Way Christian Church Followers of Jesus In the beginning, God created humanity to experience the fullness of His fellowship. Disobedience separated us from His fellowship.

But unfortunately, the first family broke fellowship with God by disobeying His will. From that moment in time, all relationships have suffered alienation; an alienation that has continued through the ages and would continue into eternity except that God has intervened. He provided a way to reconcile us to Himself and renew our relationships through faith in the one He sent to provide both the means and the model of reconciliation. His name is Jesus we exist to follow him

Today's Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are Father of the Fatherless...
A father of the fatherless,
a defender of widows,
is God in His holy habitation.
Psalm 68:5

I pray for those who have a void in their lives where a father's love should be present.
I pray for those who have never known a father, those whose fathers abandoned them, those whose fathers may be away for an extended time, those whose fathers are no longer living, those whose fathers are too busy for their family, those whose fathers are abusive…whatever the reason, I pray for You to be their loving Father of the fatherless.
I pray that each of them, and even those who have a good earthly father in their lives, that they will look to You as their generous and kind heavenly Father who created us and who loves us unconditionally.
You are our Heavenly Father who loves us eternally and who cares enough to correct Your wayward children, to speak to our hearts and to guide us by Your Holy Spirit and by Your Word.
Out of your Fatherly love for us, You sent Your only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins.

Your arms are open wide to embrace us as you run to us when we turn to You, as Jesus taught us...
And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
Luke 15:20

May we all know You as our loving Heavenly Father, the Father to the Fatherless, and may we know Your strong embrace today.
In the holy name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

Verse of the Day

Hebrews 9:28

So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
-------------------------------------------------
When Christ returns, He brings the full consummation of salvation—resurrection, glorification, final victory, and eternal fellowship with God. This is not describing people merely watching the sky. It's describing a life of expectation, faith, and hope.

Warm Up for Sunday: One of the realities we all face is the balance between work and rest. Even God balanced work and rest. In Genesis chapter one, we see that God worked for six days and then rested on the 7th. The Bible calls that the Sabbath rest. Jesus encouraged us to receive rest when He said, “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Truth is, all living things enter seasons of rest. Let me ask you, “Do you need some rest?” This Sunday we will explore what the Bible says about work and rest. Perhaps you’ll hear the invitation to enter God’s rest and be refreshed by it. Lord willing, see you Sunday.

Today's Prayer

Dear Father God,
I know that You want me to be the salt of the earth, a light in the darkness and like a city on a hill, so that others will be drawn to You, as Jesus taught us...
You are the salt of the earth;
but if the salt loses its flavor,
how shall it be seasoned?
It is then good for nothing but to be
thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
You are the light of the world.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:13-14

Please help me to be a strong and faithful witness for You to everyone around me.

Lord Jesus, show me how You want to reach into the darkness around me with Your light in my life...
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Help me to be an influence for You in the places where I live, work, study, play and worship.

Thank You Lord Jesus for commissioning me to be your witness as part of Your Great Commission...
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
“All authority has been given to Me
in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all things
that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

Thank You Jesus for choosing me to be part of your Great Commission.
This I pray in your powerful name...
Amen.

Verse of the Day

John 3:17

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Today's Prayer

Dear Father God,
Thank You for opening Your arms and welcoming me to come to You, to receive Your forgiveness, to find rest in You, to live in freedom with You, to have abundant life through You.
I cry out to You now for those who are heavy on my heart.
I pray for those who are going through the fire and those who are going through the valleys.
I pray for those who face difficulties and those who have come through trials and are triumphant because of You.
Today I lift up in prayer those who are battling health issues as well as those who are facing job loss and financial challenges.
I pray for Your grace and mercy, Your peace and love, Your hand upon each of their lives.
I pray for miracles and healings.

Let them know you as their Good Shepherd...
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
Psalm 23
I pray that all who are weary will cry out to You and find rest in you, as they learn to trust You. Matthew 11:28
Thank You for hearing my prayers and for Your answers to my prayers today and in the future.
May Your works and miracles in my life be a witness to others that You are God.
In the powerful name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

Verse of the Day

Romans 15:5-6

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today's Prayer

Dear Lord God, Jehovah Jireh,
Today I join with Abraham who recognized you as...
..The-LORD-Will-Provide [Jehovah Jireh]
Genesis 22:14

You are the Lord, my Provider.
You freely provide...
hope for the hopeless,
love for the unloved,
life for the dead in sin,
wisdom for those who ask for it,
a way out for those who are tempted,
the way forward for those who seek You,
a hand up for those who have fallen,
Jesus the Light of the world to bring people out of darkness,
the Water of Life for those who are spiritually dry,
the Bread of Life for those who are spiritually hungry,
comfort for those who mourn,
healing for those who are broken and sick,
faithfulness for those who have been betrayed,
forgiveness for all who have faith in Jesus,
peace within for those who trust in You,
…and so much more.

Can I even count the ways that You provide?
I give thanks for Your loving provision for me, oh Mighty God, Jehovah Jireh.
You truly are the Provider.
Help me to now freely give as Jesus taught us...
Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 10:8
Thank You from the depths of my heart,
In the abundant name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
