ACTS of Aiken

ACTS of Aiken To partner with churches, organizations, and individuals to provide assistance to our neighbors in need, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS) began serving clients on August 4, 1986 with sixteen local churches participating. It was obvious in the beginning that there was a need for an organization such as ACTS. Presently, there are approximately 67 churches involved in the work that we do. Volunteers serve the Lord by handling the needs of people who come to ACTS. An attempt is made to meet both the

physical and spiritual needs when clients are interviewed. They are encouraged to become part of a church of their choice, thus making that church aware of their needs. A daily morning prayer is conducted and Clients are invited to join in if they choose to do so. Since our founding, we have provided:

Food for more than 2,481,885 million meals
Clothing for more than 73,408 individuals
House wares for more than 6,352 families
Utility assistance for more than 16,270 homes
Furniture for more than 6,352 homes

Many people in our area are within one paycheck or less of financial trouble. Many need food, clothing, warmth, prescription medicine, home furnishings, or additional assistance. Reaching out in Christ's name to those among us who need a helping hand is ACTS mission.

🎉🎉 One year ago today, Logan C. Ford stepped into the role of Executive Director, and ACTS hasn’t stopped moving forward since!

We’re celebrating his first year of leadership, community building, and mission‑driven impact. Our staff and volunteers are truly fortunate to have him guiding ACTS with vision and heart. Logan’s passion for “the best city in the world” - that’s Aiken, if you didn’t know - along with his love for all humanity and his commitment to serving with humility, is helping shape ACTS into its next 40 years and beyond.

Here’s to an incredible first year and many more to come! 💙

In honor of our 40th anniversary, our friends at First Baptist Church Montmorenci are hosting a special night of worship on September 27th at 7:00 PM, and everyone is invited!

This will be a night to lift high the name of Jesus, unite our hearts in praise, and worship together with purpose.

As part of the evening, a love offering will be collected to support the First Baptist Montmorenci Youth Program and ACTS of Aiken, helping both ministries continue serving others and making an eternal impact in our community.

We are so grateful for church partners who recognize that worship isn't only about what we sing, but also about how we serve and love our neighbors.

Come worship. Come fellowship. Come with a heart ready to give.

A huge thank‑you to Michael and Margaret Rollins, another couple who serve side‑by‑side at ACTS with such joy and commitment. They show up ready to work, ready to help, and ready to care for our neighbors. Their service partnership is inspiring, and their hearts for others make a real difference in our community. We appreciate you both more than you know!

The ACTS 40th Anniversary logo tells the story of four decades of faith in action. The number 40 is formed from dozens of small images representing the people, programs, and values that have shaped ACTS of Aiken. Churches, crosses, hearts, homes, loaves of bread, praying hands, volunteers, children, older adults, grocery bags, and other symbols come together to reflect the many ways ACTS serves neighbors in need.

Up close, each icon represents an individual act of service. From a distance, those acts come together to form 40 years of ministry, compassion, and community impact. The mosaic reminds us that ACTS’ story has been built through countless volunteers, churches, donors, community partners, and neighbors working together.

The multicolored burst surrounding the cross represents a new era for ACTS. While the cross remains at the center of our mission, the expanding colors symbolize growth, renewed energy, and an increasing variety of services. They also reflect ACTS’ continued outreach into more communities throughout Aiken County,
including rural areas, while strengthening programs that serve seniors and other neighbors with unique needs.

Together, the design honors our history while looking ahead to the next chapter of service, partnership, and hope.

❤️ Celebrating 40 Years of ACTS! ❤️

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating ACTS’ 40th Anniversary Ruby Celebration surrounded by so many of the volunteers, community members, and friends who have made four decades of service possible.

We were incredibly honored to receive proclamations recognizing ACTS’ 40 years of service from the City of Aiken; Aiken County Government; the State of South Carolina, U.S. Representative Joe Wilson; and Senator Tom Young.

For 40 years, ACTS has been neighbors helping neighbors, and we are so grateful for every person who has been part of this journey. Here’s to celebrating our past and continuing to serve our community for years to come!

This is just the beginning of our 40th celebration! Stay tuned for what’s to come. ❤️
