Aiken's First Baptist Church

On May 30, Aiken's First Baptist supported a downtown-area community services awareness event sponsored by the Toole Hill Neighborhood Association and hosted by Almond Branch Baptist Church. Project Refresh also brought their mobile shower trailers. AFBC help provide the food for the event and members grilled, served food, and drove our two vehicles which provided shuttle service from several places in the downtown area to the event. This was the first event to live out the Bold Faithfulness Initiatives for meeting people where they are, getting to know our neighbors, and supporting organizations who provide services to those with housing insecurity. We are scheduled to host the Project Refresh mobile shower trailer on August 1 and October 24 so look for information on how you can support these events!

We’ve rounded up a star-studded local crew to trade their day jobs for aprons and serve you for the evening!

Most importantly, this night is all about giving back—all proceeds from the event benefit Children’s Place, supporting their incredible mission to help local children and families thrive.
