A Message to Our Families
At Southlawn Cemetery, we understand that every item placed at a loved one’s memorial is placed out of love, remembrance, and the desire to honor a special life.
Our families mean so much to us, and we want to continue providing a beautiful, peaceful, and safe environment where everyone can visit and remember those they love.
As we care for our grounds, we want to remind families that items placed around memorials, including toys, rocks, trinkets, glass items, metal decorations, and other objects outside of approved memorial areas, can create safety concerns for our staff, visitors, and the memorial itself.
Our commercial mowing equipment is powerful and necessary to maintain the beauty of our cemetery. Items that are not placed in approved vases can become hazards during routine care of the grounds.
We kindly ask families to help us protect these sacred spaces by keeping personal items within approved memorial areas and following our cemetery guidelines.
Please know that our purpose is never to diminish the love or memories connected to your loved one. Our purpose is to honor those memories while maintaining a safe, beautiful, and respectful place for every family who visits.
