The Big Story - Week 8 - Everything New (Pastor Jeremy Reese)

The Bible doesn’t end with God abandoning the world... it ends with God making everything new.

In the final week of The Big Story, Pastor Jeremy explores Revelation 21 and the hope at the heart of the Christian story. Jesus is coming again, but the goal isn’t escape. Scripture points us toward resurrection, restoration, and a renewed creation where God once again dwells fully with His people.

That future changes how we live today. Feeding the hungry matters. Reconciliation matters. Sitting with those who are hurting matters. Sharing Jesus matters. The Church is called to give the world a glimpse of the Kingdom that is coming.

God is not finished with this world, and He is not finished with you. Where is Jesus calling you to participate in what He is making new?

In Week 7 of The Big Story, Pastor Terri Dakin brings us to the cross of Jesus Christ.

From Luke 22–23, we see that Jesus is not just another hero in the story... He is the Savior the entire story has been pointing toward. At the table, Jesus declares that His body will be given and His blood poured out for us. At the cross, He offers forgiveness, welcomes the repentant, and willingly gives His life.

What looked like defeat was actually the fulfillment of God’s rescue plan.

It is finished, but because of Jesus, our story with God is just beginning.

We’re Making Room!

We’re excited to share that our Make Room Building Fund goal has been reduced from $30,000 to $25,000!

And we’ve already raised almost $18,000! That means we are just over $7,000 away from reaching our goal.

Every gift to the Building Fund helps us continue preparing space for ministry, discipleship, compassionate outreach, and the people God is bringing through our doors.

If you’ve been thinking about giving, now is a great time to help us close the gap. No gift is too small, and every dollar helps us Make Room at Aiken Ebenezer Nazarene.

When giving online at www.ebenezernazarene.com/give, simply select “Building Fund.”

Thank you for your generosity, your faithfulness, and for believing in the mission of Aiken Ebenezer Nazarene!

In Week 6 of The Big Story, Pastor Jessica Rojas takes us to the opening chapters of John’s Gospel and the beginning of Jesus’ ministry to see what happens when God comes to be with us.

John tells us that Jesus is the eternal Word who became human and entered our story. Through Jesus, we see what God is like. And as Jesus announces the Kingdom of God, He brings good news to the poor, freedom to the captive, sight to the blind, and hope to the oppressed. Jesus does more than reveal God to us. He invites us into the story.

Does your picture of God look like Jesus? Where is Jesus inviting you to participate in His Kingdom today? And could today become a turning point in your own story?

Listen now at www.ebenezernazarene.com/messages.

What if the thing you keep trying to stop is actually pointing to something deeper that needs healing? We’ll talk honestly about the hurts, habits, and hang-ups that keep us trapped - and how God can use even the broken places in our story as a pathway toward healing.

We’ll ask three questions:
Where have you come from?
Why are you still here?
Where are you going?

You are more than your addiction, your failure, your shame, or your past. Through Jesus, real freedom and heart transformation are possible.

Join us this evening at 6:30pm for Celebrate Recovery! Pastor Jeremy will be our guest speaker. A Free Meal is provided every Saturday.

Come as you are. There is a place for you here.

The story is unfinished - and it’s pointing to Someone greater.

Throughout Scripture, people kept looking for a better king, a better leader, a better kingdom, and a better future. But every earthly king eventually fell short.

Then Jesus came.

He is the King David could never be. He is the fulfillment of God’s promise. And His Kingdom will never end.

Maybe you’re living in an unfinished chapter right now. You’ve prayed, you’ve waited, and you still can’t see what God is doing.

You may not know how the story will unfold—but you know who the King is. And because you know the King, you can trust Him with the unfinished parts of your story.

The King has come.
The King is coming again.
And His Kingdom will never end.

Isaiah 43:19 says - “Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” (The Message)

New life took hold today as Kat and Maurice were baptized!

Over the last few weeks, God is certainly up to something new among us. New Life is breaking through as people are encountering Jesus and receiving salvation! New Hope is springing forth as people are finding employment, housing, freedom from addictions and as families are being reunited! New Purpose is coming into focus as people are being called into ministry, and God is leading many into new opportunities to share His love and grace with others.
