Thank you to the hundreds of loyal volunteers who turn out year after year for our Memorial Day "Flags In" event which places flags at the graves of our nations heroes. We come together to remember, reflect, amd pay tribute to the brave men and womenn who served our country. Their courage, dedication, and love of freedom will never be forgotten. Stop by and visit our hallowed grounds and take in this amazing tribute in person.

Good morning from the hallowed grounds of the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. It is Flags In Day. Come out and help us place flags at the graves of our servicemen and women for Memorial Day. Our Flags In event will kick off at 8:30am from our Center Green. 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💪

On Monday, May 25, 2026 we will conduct our Memorial Day remembrance at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Our program will
commence at 1:00pm on our Center Green. Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll, State Senator John Velis, Rep. Nick Boldyga, Agawam Mayor Christopher A. Johnson, and Springfield Mayor Dominic Sarno will join our Secretary of Veterans' Services, Eric Goralnick, to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. They will each give heartfelt tributes to remind us of the deep gratitude we owe to our fallen heroes. Let us always remember their courage and dedication. We will have some seating and the public is encouraged to bring a chair, and umbrella in case of inclement weather.🇺🇸💪

Due to the impending weather, our cemetery gates will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026 and likely Tuesday February 24, 2026 and will re-open when roads, and walkways are cleared and safe for visitation. We appreciate your understanding as this gives our dedicated grounds staff time to prepare the grounds for visitors.🇺🇸
