Have you met Erin Dennison? Erin says:
😀How did you find Shepherd, and how long ago? I grew up Catholic and my husband Eric grew up Lutheran. When we were engaged, we would go back and forth between each other’s churches. I fell in love with Shepherd because I got so much out of Sunday worship and the messages. The people were welcoming, and I felt really connected. We got married and started attending regularly just about 16 years ago.
😀What is your favorite part of serving? I LOVE serving! I especially love connecting with my Circuit students and showing them how important God is during these vital times in their lives.
😀Any advice you’d give to someone wanting to serve but don't know where? If you are looking to serve, go where God is pulling you. Put yourself out there and he will meet you where you are supposed to be and surround you with people that lift you up.
😀What’s your go-to guilty pleasure snack? Anything chocolate
😀Are you more of an early bird or a night owl? Early bird
😀Share about your life. My husband Eric and I have 3 kids, Eli, Emily, and Elle + our dog Evie. We love to go to our family cabin and be outside exploring nature.

We're so grateful for you, Erin!

Have you met Kristin Lagus? She says:

How did you first connect to Shepherd?
My family first attended Shepherd because of proximity. I was a kid, and Shepherd was a brand new church meeting in our neighborhood, near enough to walk to. Convenience meant a lot to my parents! After college, John and I got married at Shepherd, and we raised our family here.

What’s one way you’ve seen God at work in your life recently?
God is giving our family the unity, strength, and perseverance we are praying for as we navigate health and other challenges of aging parents. John and I are also soaking in the joy of being grandparents.

What's your most irrational fear?
Snakes! But that isn't irrational, is it?

What do you love about Shepherd? How have you seen God at work in your role?
I love many things about Shepherd, but I have to start with the people. Being part of several small groups over the years has blessed me with many wonderful friendships. Fun fact: John and I recently spent a life-giving week with many friends from our former small group from years ago - we are still "doing life together". Not only have my faith and relationships grown at Shepherd, but I've had a front row seat to seeing that happen for so many others. It's been very fulfilling to help connect people to small groups and one another. I love seeing people discover a spiritual home and family.

What’s your preferred, or actual, way to spend a day off?
A sunrise walk, a fun adventure with family or friends, laughter, flexible free time, time to read, and yummy food of course!

Who has played a big role in your faith journey?
My mom and Grammy, my youth director (Dick Wagenknecht), Pastor Steve, many senior adults at Shepherd, and my small group(s).

What's a dream you're currently chasing?
Smoothly changing gears at work as my role has shifted from Small Groups to Care Ministry. I love to travel, so exploring new places like New Zealand, more of Europe, and experiencing a safari are on my bucket list.

We're so grateful for you, Kristin!
