🌿🐜 Rainforest Falls VBS – Day 4! 🐜🌿
Today learned the greatest truth of all: God is love... WOW GOD!
Our Bible Buddy Tia the Giant Anteater showed us how she lovingly takes care of her baby, helping us understand that God’s love for us is even bigger and greater than we can imagine. We learned about Jesus’ incredible love through the story of His death on the cross and His resurrection. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was adding our fingerprints to the cross as a reminder that Jesus knows each one of us personally and that His love is for everyone.

Ask your child what they learned about Jesus and why His love changes everything. One more day of adventure left at Rainforest Falls!

🌿🐆 Rainforest Falls VBS – Day 3! 🐆🌿
Today was full of reminders that God is our safe place… WOW GOD! Our Bible Buddy Dottie the Ocelot helped us discover that no matter what we face, we can always run to God because He is our protector and our safe place.

We explored this truth through bubble science experiments, a “Safe Buddies” game, our Bible story about David and Saul, creating colorful flutterflies, and so much more!

Ask your child what they learned about David and Saul and how they can remember that God is always with them wherever they go. We can’t wait for another adventure tomorrow at Rainforest Falls!

🌿🐸 Rainforest Falls VBS – Day 2! 🐸🌿
Today we discovered an amazing truth: “God knows everything... WOW God!” Our Bible Buddy, Seymour the Glass Frog, helped us learn that God knows each of us completely and loves us deeply.

The kids had a blast making rain sticks, exploring how their fingerprints are uniquely designed by God, enjoying delicious frog cookies, and diving into all kinds of rainforest fun along the way!

What a joy to see our children learning that the God who created the rainforest also knows every detail about them—their fingerprints, their thoughts, and their hearts. We can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings at Rainforest Falls!

🌿🦜 What an amazing first day of Rainforest Falls VBS at Shepherd of the Valley! 🦜🌿
Today we met our Bible Buddy, Tango the Quetzal, and discovered our point of the day: “God is our Creator — WOW God!”

Our adventurers spread their wings and “flew” like quetzal birds outside, helped our silly friend Dr. McFlutterpants search for a rare butterfly, created their own colorful quetzal birds to take home, learned their Bible verse, and heard the incredible story of God’s creation from the Bible.

From singing, crafting, and games to Bible adventures and lots of laughter, it was a day filled with wonder as we explored the amazing world God made! Take a look at some of the highlights from Day 1. We can’t wait to see what adventures await us tomorrow at Rainforest Falls!

🍓Kicking off Summer with a whole lot of LOVE!🍓
Yesterday, our sovKids launched into an epic summer journey as we started our brand-new series on the Fruit of the Spirit! To get things rolling, our friend Jacque Berré stopped by with a special in-service message all about the very first fruit: LOVE. We learned that God’s love is meant to be shared with everyone around us and that the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to love like Jesus does.
Whether your kiddos joined us in person or watched online, we are so excited to watch their faith grow (and produce some amazing fruit!) all summer long.

That’s a wrap on an incredible school year at sovKids!
We went out on the highest note this past weekend, celebrating everything God has done in our small groups and our hearts. If you can’t tell from the photos, the energy was 10/10! ✨

Last weekend at sovKids, our preschoolers learned an important truth: Jesus cares for everyone! 💛
As they explored what that means, we also took time to celebrate the amazing community workers who care for us every day—helpers, protectors, and everyday heroes who make a difference in our lives.

Challenge Sunday was a HIT at sovKids this weekend! 🎉
Our elementary students jumped into a morning full of silly challenges, high-energy review games, and tons of chaos—all while earning points for their upcoming small group parties! From teamwork to quick thinking (and a whole lot of fun), these kids brought their A-game and made it a day to remember.
