April 29 is the feast day of one of our patron saints, St. Catherine of Sienna. There will be a Mass offered on that evening at 6:30PM to celebrate this Doctor of the Church at St. Catherine's in Addison. Also, on that Friday of May 1st is the feast day of St. Joseph the worker. This feast day will be observed at the regular scheduled daily Mass at St. Stanislaus on Friday May 1st at 4:30PM. The parish staff extend an invitation to attend either or both of these feast day Masses to honor our patron saints. Peace, Deacon Doug

Beginning this Friday February 20th and every Friday of Lent, I will be doing the devotion of the Stations of the Cross at St. Joseph Church in Campbell at 6:30 PM. I am inviting all parishioners from Ss Isidore & Maria Torribia parish and anyone who views this that would like to attend to join me in this special devotion during Lent. Perhaps make it a Lenten discipline. We will begin with the scriptures of the day and a reflection from Bishop Barron on the readings. Hope to see you there! Peace, Deacon Doug

This week's gospel from Matthew was the "Similes of Salt and Light" (Mt 5:13-16). This group of seniors from our youth group emulate that by being the light to their peers. They were the recipients of the Hands of Christ Award acknowledged by Bishop Matano last Monday February 2nd at St. Mary Our Mother Church. Congratulations to Gabriel Ferratella, Fred Collins III, John Tolly, Cella McLaughlin and Nicholas Ferratella. God bless you all!

Good evening, everyone,

Just a reminder that the monthly liturgy committee will be meeting this Sunday, February 1st at St. Joe's in Campbell at 3PM. It has been moved up a week due to conflicting with the Super Bowl on the 8th. Hopefully everyone weathered the storm last week and are keeping warm.

Peace, Deacon Doug

Fr. Pat has cancelled the Monday daily Mass at St. Joseph's at 5:30PM. Weather report for Monday is 35 mph winds which will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow. So, once again, stay home and stay safe. Peace, Deacon Doug

FYI, if you wish to watch Mass on TV, it is televised on EWTM and locally on WETM2 (18.2), Spectrum channel 11 at 11:00AM. Mass is also broadcast on the Catholic channel 88.1 at 8:00AM. Here is the Spiritual Communion prayer: My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.

Also, parish council will be cancelled for today as the snowfall is expected to increase by this afternoon. Any and all events are cancelled. Please stay home and stay safe. Attention liturgy committee!

Please excuse the tardiness of the reminder. I had meant to send it on Monday, but I had a extremely busy week, so my apologies. Just want you all to know that a liturgy committee meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 3PM at St. Joseph's. It is important that all could attend as we will begin to discuss the very soon upcoming Lenten season and Easter services.

This involves ushers, music liturgists, sacristans, faith formation etc. Hopefully all can make it and those that can't please let me know.

PS. I know the Bills are playing tomorrow at 1PM, they were supposed to win the Division and get a bye 🙂.

Peace, Deacon Doug
