This!!!
Good morning, Facebook Family! This is an awesome cartoon depicting how we as believers are tempted. We know that Jesus was tempted and the Bible refers to Satan as the "tempter." Regardless of what we have been told about temptations being "tests from God," we have to know they are not. James1:13-14 says, "When tempted, NO ONE should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone; but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed." We need to know there are things within us that we struggle with that attempts to draw us away. What do we do when we feel we are being tempted? First, if it is difficult to discern if this is the tempter, test the spirit by the Spirit. If it is not Christ-like or bear the fruits of the Spirit, then it is evil/temptation sent to cause you to fall. Luke 22:40 says,"On reaching the place, he said to them,"PRAY THAT YOU WILL NOT FALL INTO TEMPTATION." Start praying, Facebook Fam! Matthew 6:13 serves as a model for prayer...the Lord's prayer:"And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one." We need to know that ALL OF US are tempted but God loves us and understands. He used Himself as example that we, too, would and could be tempted but can overcomes in spite of. He will always provide a way out! 1Corinthians 10:13 says, "NO temptation has overtaken you except that what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. BUT WHEN YOU ARE TEMPTED, HE WILL ALSO PROVIDE A WAY OUT SO THAT YOU CAN ENDURE IT! GLORY TO GOD! Thank God for the ram in the bush...a way out of no way...a way and a means for escape! When we overcome temptation on one occassion, the tempter will try you again! Luke 4:13 "When the devil had finished ALL this tempting, he left him until an opportune time." This means Satan is coming back...he is just waiting on opportunity. A chance to catch you vulnerable, lonely, broke, feeling needy, desiring companionship or whatever your area of temptation consists of. People of God, stay prayed up knowing we can overcome ANY temptation that comes our way. Let's keep each other lifted in prayer! God bless us all!
