So with over 100 churches in the Adairsville and surrounding areas, why do we need to start another one? The demographic data shows that a large percent of the nearly 5000 individuals who live in our area claim to be “not involved” in any church on any level! Most have tried “church” and a majority of the people are saying “no” to the churches of our area. We want every person to feel welcome and

to experience the presence of God. Our job is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world and as a church to help each person understand his or her role in the Kingdom of God. You are important and we strive to make each person see yourself the way God sees you!

Horrifying! Can you imagine having your tongue completely cut out of your mouth and your flesh torn with red-hot iron tongs simply because you preached that adults should be baptized?

Michael Sattler was a peaceful, faithful man.

He absolutely refused to swear oaths.

He refused to take up a sword in violence.

And he refused to bow down to a corrupt, state-controlled church.

But to the authorities, his greatest and most unforgivable "crime" was preaching believer's baptism rather than the baptism of infants.

When he was dragged before the furious court in Rottenburg...

The judges didn't just sentence him to die — they condemned him to a slow, unimaginable, and agonizing death.

First, the executioners violently cut out his tongue.

The exact instrument he had used to preach the truth of the Gospel, desperately trying to silence him once and for all.

As he was led through the streets toward the stake, they mercilessly tore his flesh with glowing, red-hot iron tongs.

Bound in heavy chains and completely surrounded by soldiers and hostile clergy, Michael did the unthinkable.

Bleeding and mangled, he actually prayed for his persecutors!

As the roaring fire rose around him, he never once recanted his faith.

The brutality didn't end with Michael.

Just days later...

His faithful wife, Margaretha, was completely submerged and drowned in the river for holding to the exact same uncompromising convictions!

The state authorities could tear his flesh, cut out his tongue, and burn his body to ashes.

But they could absolutely never silence the eternal truth he confessed!
