I want to share the following post with all the seniors. As you feel led to respond to the post, bring what is asked for at our next Remnant Church Legacy Seniors meeting on January 17, 2026 at 11:00 am. I would really like for us as a group to respond to this need. Whatever you can do would be greatly appreciated.

The following post was made by Bryson Frix, Heritage Baptist Church Associate Pastor and Missions Director, with Ashton Whitworth.

January 22-30 I’ll be bringing a group with me to Benin, Africa. The last time we were there we brought several laptops and a few iPads to help the students in the Bible Institute with their schooling and also translate Gospel literature into their local language.

Several evangelists have now graduated from that Bible Institute and have went into full time ministry (some without pay). They are going to remote villages and starting Bible Studies and churches.

**HOW YOU CAN HELP**
This year we will be bringing cellphones and portable chargers for these evangelists that have given their life to ministry. We all know how much of an asset cellphones can be, especially in remote places. If you have an old cellphone that still works but you are no longer using or a portable charger please consider donating to this awesome work.
Most of all be praying for this trip and for the people of Benin!

LEGACY CHRISTMAS 2025

All Remnant Church seniors are invited to our Legacy Christmas Party. Please see the announcement. Be sure to make note of the start time. Also, this is a catered event. The meal will be provided. We are asking you to bring a dessert or beverage. You must register either on the church app or in the foyer at church to attend. We are asking you to bring an inexpensive gender neutral gift to participate in an interactive game.
We have planned a Christmas program, great food, along with fun and fellowship. You won't want to miss our time together.

For those driving their car on Saturday, the 25th, to Blue Ridge for the train ride with Legacy, I have a tip for you. Before Saturday, go online to "Blue Ridge Scenic Railway". Look for parking information. The website has a parking map for Blue Ridge that will assist you in finding all the places available for parking to download. I hope this helps!

A big "Thank You" isn't enough to say to everyone who participated in our bake sale today! Our Remnant Church family always comes through in every way no matter what is asked of them. It is such a blessing and honor to be a part of such a group of people. A special "Thank You" to the ladies that manned the sale table and to Bill Bradfield for just knowing how to lend his invaluable help. I didn't have a picture of everyone that helped, but you know who you are.

We have a date and time for the Legacy Blue Ridge Railway Trip. It will be October 25, 2025. We will embark at 3:00 pm at the Blue Ridge Train Depot. We will be sharing more details as we get closer to the date.

BLUE RIDGE SCENIC RAILWAY

Legacy Seniors are planning a train ride on the Blue Ridge Train in October. We want to invite Friends to come and join us. The tickets have to be purchased first to secure a date in October.

The tickets are $66.00 per person for a 2 hour round-trip train ride through beautiful autumn scenery. There will be no layovers.

July 13 and 20, 2025 will be the only times to buy the tickets at church paying by cash or check. You'll have up through July 20th to buy on the church app. On July 27, 2025, we will announce the date and time of our trip.

We are planning to carpool. Be sure to let the Legacy Team members know if you can carpool or if you need to ride with someone.

Legacy team members will be in the foyer to assist you in purchasing and to answer questions. Pastor Andrew will be available to answer questions as well. Feel free to contact me at 706-728-0351 or by Facebook Messenger, Vicki Phillips, if you have any questions.
