This weekend, the Church celebrates Pentecost, one of the most important feast days of the year that concludes the Easter season and celebrates the beginning of the Church. As a way to help us prepare for this feast day we ask every family to pray this prayer together along with your children this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday — the three days prior to the feast.

This prayer to the Holy Spirit asks for guidance, wisdom and the gifts of the Spirit to help us live holy and faithful lives.

Today we were gifted to celebrate Mass in the church of St. Carlo Acutis' tomb, which also gave us another opportunity to view him. We went to Loreto after and have boarded our ferry that will bring us to Medjugorje. We continue to pray for all of you back home.

Our pilgrimage brought us to San Giavonni the place where St. Padre Pio lived and his tomb is enshrined. It was a gift to be able to celebrate Mass in the same place that Padre Pio celebrated Mass. Some of the group participated in a Candle light Rosary procession. It was a grace filled day!

The United States bishops are consecrating our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 2026. The choice of this year is in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of our nation.

For those who would like to prepare their hearts for this consecration, Father Boniface Hicks, OSB, has compiled a 33-day preparation that takes us through the hearts of Joseph and Mary to help us arrive at the Heart of Jesus.

Check it out!
