Hello,

I sure hope no one showed up for Celebrate Recovery last night. I was supposed to remind everyone that we are not having service until after the first of the year. I got busy and looked up and it was already 6:30. If you did I’m sorry that you went there and we were closed.

Just heard our Governor of Oklahoma say, “we need a day of prayer and fasting.” Well, it’s about time. We have been going through perilous times and we as Christians need to begin to get serious. People are dying without God. Most of them do not have anyone there to pray for them. They are all alone spending their last minutes on this earth with nobody by their side.

Isaiah 60:1-3 NKJV

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.

Christians!!! Let’s let our light shine throughout this world that darkness will have NO place in our lives. That people will instantly see that the King of all Kings is coming to take His bride out of this place!

He has called Thursday, the day to pray and fast. Let’s all get together in one mind and one accord and do this.

2 Corinthians 2:14

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? As Christians we have a lot to be thankful for, because through Christ we will always triumph! It doesn’t matter what is going on in the would we will make it through. He said I will never leave you or forsake you, but be with you until the end of time.

During the 33 years of our Lord’s earthly life He triumphed over sin and Satan. Look up Hebrews 4:15. Not only in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), but all through His earthly life He was tempted in every way that we are tempted, but never once did He yield to the Tempter.

On the cross our Lord conquered sin, death, Hell and the Devil. Having completely defeated His enemies - sin, death, Hell and the Devil - He rose from the grave, and now shares His triumph with all His captives, His redeemed ones!

Did you hear that? He shares it all with us. What belongs to Him belongs to us! That’s what I’m thankful for!

We have a choice to be triumphant, or not. We can give in to Covid, riots, hate, fear, addiction, or anything going on right now! Or We can say my God has already defeated this for me! I’m more than a conqueror through Him who loves us!

The air is filled with a beautiful fragrance as we triumphantly share His word with others and walk the walk of victory! What is the fragrance that spreads forth from the Christian who is sharing Christ’s triumph? It is the fragrance of Christ Himself. In other words, if we are sharing His triumph the fragrance of His life within us will spread outward - both to God, to whom it will be “the aroma of Christ” (verse 15), and to men, to whom it will be “the fragrance of the knowledge of him” (verse 14).

His fragrance is the aroma as we walk with Him. Let it flow throughout your life reaching the lost. Those who can’t see a way out of addiction. You can be the fragrance of the Knowledge of Christ.

Come and be with us tonight at Celebrate Recovery and let us spread forth the fragrance of Christ. We are meeting at 6:30 pm for a testimonial service and at 7:00 pm we will have group, which we’ll breakout in different areas for men and women. We keep safe by wearing a mask and social distancing. Also, we will provide a meal for you to take home with you.

We love you and hope to see you there, but if for some reason you can’t make it have a Happy Thanksgiving and Thank Jesus for giving you life and life abundantly!

This is the day the lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it! When we wake up these words should be on our lips. There are days when it comes natural and then there are days when we have to choose to rejoice. We have to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. He will get us through the days we feel like we can’t make it, but we have to ask for His help.

Tonight is time to Celebrate at Celebrate Recovery! Come and join us at 6:30 pm for a great testimony and then group at 7 pm. We are still social distancing and wearing our mask. If you don’t have a mask, please pick one up at the front desk. After celebrating, please pick up a meal to take home with you.

We love each of you and feel so blessed to be able to spend Monday nights with you. Hope to see you there at Ada First Baptist Church.

How is your day today. Are you having a good day or a bad day? Did you know that you can choose to have a good day? It's totally up to you. Sometimes it's not easy to choose, but if you will be determined not to quit it will turn out good. We all have hurts, habits and hang ups, but the question is do they have us?

Celebrate Recovery is for everyone who wants to live a life of freedom. We all have something that we deal with in life. The Bible says it rains on the just and the unjust! Matthew 5:45 But the thing about being a born again Christian, is you never have to go through your hurts, habits and hang ups alone. Jesus is always there and He puts people in your life to help you.

At Celebrate Recovery we have Leander's, but we also have others going through the same thing we are going through to help us to get through whatever it is that is hindering us from living a joyful life.

Come out tonight for Testimonial service at 6:30pm and group at 7pm. After group you will be furnished a meal to take home. Please wear a mask, if you don't have one, please ask whomever is at the front door to welcome you. We want to keep everyone safe, therefore, we all social distance.

Hope to see you there!!!
