Trusting God's Plan
Today is also from 2 Kings 5 but not about Naamans Obediance. It is about the "little maids"

She had been captured and made a slave because of the battles between Israel and Syria. Serving as a slave in a foreign land away from her family she was witnessing and glorifying God.

Most of us would have been mad and complaining. She was loving. Loving her God and Caring about those she was enslaved to serve. Listen to her Faith, Trust and Love.

And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.

The cool thing is God did cure Naaman because of the little maids Faith and Trust.

She believed God was still on His throne even though her circumstances were less that ideal. She had the faith God could heal Naaman. And because of it He did it.

After Naaman was healed. Elisha refused the gifts of gold and silver and garments. He only wanted God!!!

God is on His throne and is working out the best for those that love Him and love others. May our Faith be GREAT, may our Trust be BIG and may our Love be STRONG even when we think the worst has come upon us. Your Faith matters. In Jesus name I Pray, Amen.

2 Kings 5:2-5 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.

If God Told You To, Would You?

There is an interesting story 2 Kings 5 about a Syrian Commander named Naaman. Naaman had a medical condition Leprosy. Leprosy turned the skin white and was very contagious and incurable. Through a little maid he was made aware of the prophet Elisha and went to Elisha to be cured.

When he got there Elisha sent word to him to go dip in the river Jordan seven times. Naaman was furious that he wouldn’t come out to him in person and more so because he wanted him to dip in the muddy Jordan River. He rode off mad heading home. Some servants on his came and said to him. If the prophet (Spokesman for God) had asked him to do something great surely you would have done it, bust since it is so simple you are mad and refuse to do what he asked.

Naaman went and dipped in the Jordan and when he came up out of the water on the seventh time he was cured. I believe had he stopped after six times he would have went home unchanged, uncured. But because he obeyed the Lord’s Command (spoken by the prophet). He went home clean.

Today God speaks to us By His Spirit, Through His Holy Word (Bible), With the Circumstances (Illnesses and Hardships) of our life, and through the people around us, sometimes even a little child (because they have more Faith that we Adults do).

I encourage you to look and listen for those things that will change you forever. Things that can heal, save, recover, bless and sustain you. God is speaking, Listen for his instructions and follow them Completely. In Jesus name I Pray, Amen

2 Kings 5
1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a l***r.

14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

When God is Silent

We know from the creation that when God speaks things happen. We also know that it is Very Good, but what about when God is Silent? There is a period of around 400 years between Malachi and Matthew where in the life of Israel God didn’t speak. It started with the Nation given to Idolatry (worshipping other Gods) and ended with the coming and rejection of Christ. Judas in the Maccabees had rededicated the Temple and the rise of the political parties of the Pharisees and Sadducees’ had come about preparing for the coming of the messiah. When God started speaking again it was through John the Baptist the fore runner of the Messiah (Jesus, Gods Son)

Today God speaks through His Holy Spirit. Jesus ascended back to heaven and sent the Spirit to Comfort, Counsel and Guide us. Sometimes the Spirit is silent because we’ve stopped listening. Sometimes He seems silent because the noise is too loud for us to hear Him. For the believer the Spirit never leaves us, but sometimes He leaves us alone. He lets us go in directions we should not go and allows us to do things we should not do to get our attention back on God.

Today I encourage you to keep your eyes on God. Turn down the noise and listen for His voice. Turn back to where you left Him on the pathway. Return home to the Father. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Genesis 1:2-4
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Hebrews 1
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Galatians 4:6
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
