Even though the library clerk is not fond of beans and hot dogs, she hopes that you are!

On Saturday, September 19th, 4:30-6:00 pm, the Acton Public Library is having a fundraising Bean Supper at the Acton Congregational Church.

Show your support for the library by having some delicious food. The library clerk will be there in spirit. 😉😀

A fun way to get to know others in your community.

Line dancing class will be returning to the church in October.

Another great night line dancing at Iron Tails Saloon ! But that's not all that was happening . . .

I saw . . .
🕺 newcomers looking comfortable to try something new.
🕺 experienced dancers taking an active part in class and helping others during Open Dance.
🕺 an experienced dancer helping a new dancer modify her dance during class and making it her own.
🕺 people laughing and sharing and enjoying good food and cold drinks.
🕺 dancers who didn't know each other and now becoming friends.

In this week’s gospel story, Jesus walks on the water and Peter courageously and confidently steps out of the boat to walk with him. It is only when he doubts his actions that Peter begins to sink. All the while the boat of friends and supporters waits as Jesus catches Peter and helps him back to the boat. Courage, confidence and doubt are all part of our walk with Christ.

This Sunday we wrap up our journey through Genesis as we hear about Joseph with his marvelous coat and how he saved Egypt and Israel with his ability to interpret dreams and win the heart and trust of Pharoah. Once again, we are hearing a story of reconciliation, redemption and forgiveness. This theme continues up to and beyond the birth and ministry of Jesus into our lives today.

"My" dancers 😊 are the best and are making a positive impact in our community!

Tomorrow during Monday's class, I plan to present a donation check from our line dancers to the Acton Congregational Church, Acton, Maine for the much needed new banquet tables for their hall. We are so grateful for the support of the church members this past autumn, winter and spring.

Dancers this summer at Iron Tails Saloon have been donating toward a fund to be given to the The Kita Center. These funds will be presented at a class this month.

Jacob’s epic journey is coming full circle. After twenty years he returns home to Esau, the brother that he extorted and tricked out of his birthright. Before he reaches home, Jacob has an uneasy night sleeping by the Jakkob River wrestling and restless.

I hope you can join us this Sunday to hear this story of faithful wrestling and extravagant forgiveness.
