Hope
“I hoped the sun would shine again replacing clouds and rain.
I hoped some relief would come and drive away the pain.
I shared with hope the feeling that the way would soon be clear,
and as we groped to find our path Your hope is always near.
I hoped to find solutions for the problems of the day I hoped to find the answers to questions on my way
Yet day by day no answers came solutions fled away the path stayed dark the journey drear but hope was there to stay.
At journeys end t’was just the same continued I to grope.
No answers or solutions came and all I had was hope
Did sorrow cloud my weary heart and did I weep and mope? It was not the end that brought me joy but traveling with Hope.
My life was rich and filled with peace until my journey’s end. For Hope was constantly with me and was my dearest friend.
My problem yet has not been solved yet I have learned to cope. For it was worth it all to travel with my constant friend named Hope.”

Romans 13:14, “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.”
Yesterday I put on my first sweater of the fall season. I put on the sweater so I wouldn’t get cold. Later as it gets colder I will put on a coat and boots to prevent me from getting cold.
Gill’s Exposition says, “As a man puts on his clothes when he rises in the morning: the righteousness of Christ is compared to a garment, it is the best robe.”
Paul encourages us to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Putting on the Lord as a garment will prevent you from falling into sin. Before stepping out today put on the Lord.

Psalm 89:8, “O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?”
People often face unforeseen changes in life. This may involve a financial setback, a health diagnosis, or relational challenges. You may face such a scenario right now and wonder if God is with you as life does not look promising. The Lord repeatedly assures, through Scripture, that He is with you.
The reality of God’s faithfulness is not measured by the comfort level of your life. Regardless of the circumstances, His promises are trustworthy. He cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) When you confess and repent, He forgives. (1 John 1:9) He will not abandon you. (Hebrews 13:5) Today God is available to you even when your faith is faltering.

John 12:20-21, “And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.”
I feel certain there were many sights to see in Jerusalem. No doubt worshipping at the Temple would have been memorable. However, these men wanted to see Jesus!
The lost world today cannot see Jesus. But they can see His followers…us. So what do they see when they see us?
“While passing through this world of sin, And others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within,
Let others see Jesus in you.”
