Someone once said that they “woke up every day in a new world”. Is this true? Does our world change that much in a 24-hour period? It may seem that this time yesterday life had meaning, you were calm in full control, and sunlight was so bright. 24 hours later, it has all turned into a Living Hell on Earth for you and yours. It can be that way for some of us. Life changes as well as the situation we find ourselves in, but Jesus never changes. The Bible teaches that God is a constant and is the same “yesterday, today, and forever”. What is the same in all of our lives? For the Christian, it would be our Faith, hope, and love. These three marvelous virtues never die and will never go away. Although the situations of our lives may drastically change, the ability to hold on to God, talk to God, let Him guide us, love us will never change. Prayer is always the right choice every day.

Every time we seek to accomplish something, carry out our plan, or get something done, here comes the opposition. We attempted to build our new deck, and it rained the entire time of our vacation, which we took to build the deck. We were about to take our vacation, and our youngest child caught the flu. We were going back to school, but the tuition money went to pay an emergency doctor bill. We had planned a new addition to our bedroom, but the contractor had to move to a bigger job that offered more money.
Life is full of starts and stops. Do we quit? Do we give up? Do we stop doing what we need to do? No! We understand the problems that can stop us from doing, but we are determined to get the job done. With God, all things are possible! We know our enemy, yet we will not stop doing what God has called us to do!

SPECIAL MOTHER’S DAY at CBC!
GIFTS TO THE CHOCTAW FOOD PANTRY
We love our Mothers for all they do. They have given and continue to give forever. Each time we pray, we think of the gifts that Mama gave. This Mother’s Day, we will also give to bless Mom! Come to the altar with your canned vegetables, meats, peanut butter, pasta, or rice. Mama will be proud as we fill up our Choctaw Food Pantry on May 10th during the 11am service.

Three little words that demonstrate a great deal of character, humility, honesty, and truth about a person. The words are short, sweet, and simple: “He Did It!” Many times in life, when great things are accomplished, people would like to take all the credit and receive all the honor and glory. A humble man looks, thinks about it, and then announces: “He Did It!” When a football team wins a big game of great importance, many people say, “He did It!” When a young person is given a diploma, the humble student will say, “He Did It!” When I look at my life and think about all of the things I have been blessed with, I must proclaim, looking into Heaven, that “He Did It!” As we travel toward the dangers of the ocean in front and Pharaoh’s death, the army behind it is vital that we carry forward a true concern for God’s Glory to be proclaimed. No matter what we go through in life, it is crucial that we consistently give God all the Glory!

How tough is it for us to confess to someone that we were wrong, did something “Bad”, lied, hurt someone, stole something, cheated, or, in other words, committed a Sin? Sin is classified as rebellion against the will of God. It is in our inherited nature to basically do the wrong thing. Sin always separates us from God while damaging the relationship we have with Him. Sin will increase our sorrow because rebellion usually hurts, not only us but those around us. Sin will never go unpunished, for disobedience carries a price to pay. The joy of this is the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross with His sinless body and blood.
As we look at the Hebrews at the Red Sea, what if it is all their fault? What if their choices put them in this position? What now?
