Many times when explaining a situation, giving instructions, helping someone with an important decision, or simply speaking out in a problem time, the 21st century response is two words, “Say what?”.

People today do not enjoy many of the solutions of the past when dealing with problems, jobs, duties, and all sorts of things. The person says, “Say what?”?.

These words are an open expression of an inner feeling that is basically saying, “I can’t believe that is all you have to say?”.
e.g. “I am feeling bad!” - “Well pray!” – “Say what?”
“ I just lost my job!” – “ Well pray!” – “Say what?”
“ I’m lost in my life!” – “Well pray!” – “ Say what?”

Here, between Pharaoh, to his back, and the Red Sea, in front of Moses, is a real significant distress to say the least. The answer for Moses and the children of Israel is to pray! Their response would have to be, “Say what?” Praying is exactly the right answer.

Most of us find some entertainment in the art of the magician. In the world of entertainment, the magician is sometimes referred to as an “illusionist”. The idea of illusion is the fact that what you see is not actually what really happened.

We all have seen people travel 50-60 feet in a second, be sawed in half, pull a bird from a “top hat,” or, in one case, the instant disappearance of an elephant or even an airplane.

What is going on? We know that the laws of physics, gravity, matter, atoms, and physiology are unbreakable and undeniable. We know that a 150-foot-long airplane did not just disappear, and that no human body could be cut in half, and in 20 seconds, return to normal with now a single scar or drop of blood. What is it?

Satan is the ultimate illusionist. He leads mankind into places and ideas that will carry us to self-destruction and yet says, “We will prosper”.

Today, we’ll look at Satan’s Illusions.

Someone once said that they “woke up every day in a new world”. Is this true? Does our world change that much in a 24-hour period? It may seem that this time yesterday life had meaning, you were calm in full control, and sunlight was so bright. 24 hours later, it has all turned into a Living Hell on Earth for you and yours. It can be that way for some of us. Life changes as well as the situation we find ourselves in, but Jesus never changes. The Bible teaches that God is a constant and is the same “yesterday, today, and forever”. What is the same in all of our lives? For the Christian, it would be our Faith, hope, and love. These three marvelous virtues never die and will never go away. Although the situations of our lives may drastically change, the ability to hold on to God, talk to God, let Him guide us, love us will never change. Prayer is always the right choice every day.
