, she preaches from the shoulders of her church mothers who courageously preached in the face of adversity and rejection.
, she preaches for the imaginations of her church daughters whose imaginations are nourished for their own role within the body of Christ.
, she preaches with courage not born out of anger or even righteous indignation, but out of the power of the Spirit.
, she is aware that there will be those who will congratulate her on her “talk,” and never affirm it as a sermon.
, she trembles for she knows there will be those who reject her simply because of her gender.
, she is aware that there may be more feedback on her clothes or hair rather than the sermon itself.
, she isn’t progressive; rather, she is old school. She stands on the shoulders of Deborah and Junia.
, she has nothing to prove, but instead a word to be proclaimed, preached, and prophesied.
, it is not a slippery slope to hell; rather, it is a living out of Galatians 3:28 and Pentecost.
, she preaches out of a seed planted from the Spirit of the living God – that is, a called woman of God.
, she carries pains and wounds, but is choosing to preach out of healing and love and not bitterness.
, those who leave or walk out because of her gender are within view, but she preaches anyway.
, she does it out of faithfulness and obedience, not rebellion.
, she doesn’t want to push her brothers aside, but she wants to come alongside of them and partner with them.
, she does it not because she only wants to talk about women’s issues or even women in ministry, but for her love for Jesus and His church.
, she is by the Spirit of Pentecost, impelled by love, propelled by Jesus, and empowered by the gospel-centered church.
