I want to thank everyone for their prayers and for reaching out to me. It has been an overwhelming few days, starting with waking up yesterday morning to messages on my phone from young people, who for many years I have known and mentored. They are now in their early 20th, some have kids of their own. They are all over Ukraine, all of them started in the same small orphanage (beginning of Marina’s Kids non-profit). I got messages with pictures of smoking villages, videos of exploding bombs. The reports are that store shelves are bare, there is no way to refill gas tanks, and now the internet is shut off in some places. Mobile internet is still working. My “kids” report sounds of shooting in Odessa, and no way to get out of the city. In Lviv, there was a possibility of getting to Poland, but with the number of people trying to leave, it was impossible. All of the men are drafted, and women and children are stuck where they are. Our center in the Odessa region is in a village, where it is still quiet. Everyone who is of a younger age are telling me “it is very scary”, the older generation says: “We are praying, we will be ok at the end”. Your thoughts and prayers are invaluable. Marina’s Kids is changing how we are operating. As of January 1, 2022, Marina James and Marina’s Kids Board of Directors will no longer be running the administrative part of the mission work. This important and time-consuming task is being taking on by One Child Inc. One Child Inc. is an organization, just like Marina’s Kids, with a mission to help children. They are project oriented and will help Marina’s Kids continue to work with “the Road Home” social center for battered women and their children and assist with medical projects.
Marina James is not going anywhere. She will still be involved in the projects. Contributions for Marina’s Kids projects can be done through One Child Inc. Donations can be done through the website www.onechildinc.org/donate or send checks to One Child Inc, PO Box 34193, Omaha, Ne 68134.

One Child Inc. — это организация, как и Marina's Kids, миссией которой является помощь детям. Они ориентированы на выполнение проектов и помогут организации Marina's Kids продолжать работать с социальным центром «Дорога домой» для пострадавших от побоев женщин и их детей, а также будут помогать в медицинских проектах.
Организация Marina's Kids не прекращает существование и в дальнейшем будет участвовать в проектах. Взносы на проекты Marina's Kids можно делать через One Child Inc. Thank you New Life Thrift Store for generous donation that allowed Marina's Kids to purchase much needed car for "The road Home" social center for battered mothers and their children. We also got food, toiletries, and medicine for several month. The car was already
used few times to travel to hospitals for check ups.

Marina's Kids organization wants to thank everyone who has donated and supported Alia, Lena and Adriana. Only because of you we were able in a short time to raise needed amount of money for medical expences❤️
Today we went through all the tests, and would be waiting for the results. Soon we will go to the hospital for surgeries. Thank you from all of us and children.

We have three girls living in our center for battered woman and children “The Road Home” that have medical problems. All three are sisters, Alia (7), Lena (3), Adrianna (2), have problems with continual/ chronic colds. We finally were able to get them to specialist in Odessa who had determined that the girls have serious cases of adenoids and tonsils. Surgery to remove it is necessary for their well-being. Even though the surgery itself is free (as mandated by the government), there are additional costs involved. Some of the costs are travel to the hospital, hospital stay, medicine and anesthesia. Total cost needed for all the girls is about $1,000. We plan to have the surgery done before the winter cold month set in, and they have time to fully recover. This year Marina's kids sponsored center "The Road Home ", for battered women and children, had a garden full of tomatoes. Working together tomatoes were picked, processed and canned. Now there will be plenty of tomato juice for children when growing session is over!

❤️ Children were so happy to get food and gifts. Everything was very needed and approved by the hospital.

Thank you Jonathan Driscoll for your work and donation. Jonathan collected $1800 with friends & family to help our Center in Ukraine Будинок волонтерської допомоги для матері та дитини «Стежка додому» with coal for the winter months. 8 tons & 200 grams! Buying coal during the summer months for the winter saves money. We get a much better quality coal for less money. Mother's & Children are very grateful & thankful!! Thank you.

Life in our center is never still. Few weeks ago, fundraising locally in Ukraine, we ere able to raise enough funds to get a miking cow! Now part of daily life in the center "The road Home" for battered woman and children is to milk Zorina, separate milk and cream, make 2 kids of cheese and drink fresh milk! The children love it and it is so good for their health. The center residents now bake their own bread, produce milk products and grown fresh herbs for their table. Additionally, with the chickens donated to us, we no longer have to buy eggs. Thank you everyone for your continual support it is much appreciated. Marina James, President, Marina's Kids.
