Visiting our beloved Deacon Sugg Dennis in Phoenix after his stroke. I can report that he is making progress, speaking better and better by the day and even showing off his physical mobility and flexibility! He has God and Salem on his side! And he was showing off! His daughter, Pennie, is taking great care of him in Arizona!

The Salem Youth Ministry & The Montgomery County Chapter of The Links, Inc. will be hosting STEMReady, a monthly workshop series surrounding the various facets of science, technology, engineering, art and math. The participants will do group projects, hear from industry professionals, and gain a better understanding of the STEM fields.

We invite parents and youth (ages 7-18) to come and explore this program in partnership with the National Society of
Black Engineers (NSBE)!

The virtual informational session will take place Tuesday, January 26, 6-7 pm. If you would be interested in attending, please contact Sydney at 215-520-2263. Please share with your network as this is for the entire community!

Like many others, 2020 has caused Santa to adjust his schedule. While he’s taking the pandemic seriously it won’t keep him from making some special appearances before Christmas. Santa has adjusted his schedule to stop by Salem on Saturday, December 19th from 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday, December 20th from 10 am to 1 pm. This will be a safe drive-thru contact-free event. Masks and social distancing are required. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Santa before he loads up his sleigh for his annual journey. Bring a friend! Remember; the light in a child’s eyes is all it takes to make Christmas a magical time of the year!

The Salem youth ministry will be hosting a virtual workshop series, REAL Essentials, for the fall. These workshops will discuss various topics including knowing self and others, effective communication, healthy friendships, and more. It will also provide the youth with the opportunity to fellowship with each other again! There will be sessions for for preteens (10-12) and teens (13+).

The workshops will be held every Wednesday! Pr***ens (10-12) - 6pm - 7pm
Teens (13+) - 7pm - 8pm

The workshops will begin September 30th!

On October 31, Salem will be hosting a Halloween Drive-In Movie Night for the whole family! We ask that each family/car be in place by 6pm (Entrance opens at 5:30). We will also be showing a double feature, 2 movies for the whole family, beginning at dusk. Due to the rise in COVID cases, we will be eliminating the Trunk or Treat portion of the event.

All attendees must wear protective masks and families must remain in their socially-distant areas. Please bring your own snacks or food - no sharing with other families.

Costumes and car decorations are encouraged! Spaces are limited!
