Hello! My name is Rachel Risko, and I’m from a small town called Athens in EastTexas. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. I love working with children, youth, and young adults, and I’m
currently a seminary student at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
I’m now in my final (and 3rd!) year of my Master of Divinity program. This year, I’m taking online classes while interning at McMurry University in Religious and
Spiritual Life. Part-time, I’m also working here at FCPC, and I’m so excited to get to know y’all and work with you all this school year!
A fun fact about me is that my hometown, Athens, was featured in the Netflix documentary Cheer, which follows the TVCC and Navarro cheerleading teams. It’s definitely a little weird seeing your old school in a documentary (especially a school you attended) but it’s also pretty cool at the same time!
I’m looking forward to a fun year together and can’t wait to get to know everyone!
