❤️ 7 YEARS. ONE SUNDAY. A NEW LIFE. ✝️
This past Sunday at Champions Church, we witnessed a testimony that reminds us just how powerful God’s grace really is.
This man waited 7 years to be baptized. Every time he planned to do it, something happened. But this time, nothing stopped him.
He shared his battle with fentanyl addiction and how it almost took his life. He actually died, and it took several doses of Narcan to bring him back. He said when he died, all he saw was black.
Then he said:
“When I die, I want to see Jesus.”
And today, he is living for Him. He has turned his life around, left his old life behind, and went into that water this Sunday to declare that his life belongs to Jesus. 🙏🏼
But his testimony also reminds us of something WE ALL need to hear.
ALL SIN CAN BE FORGIVEN.
We don’t get to decide who is worthy of forgiveness.
We don’t get to judge someone forever because of the sins they committed.
And we certainly should never abandon someone because of sins we don’t agree with.
Judging someone for their sin while forgetting our own is a sin too.
We can disagree with someone’s choices and still love them.
We can know their past and still believe God has a future for them.
We can recognize their mistakes and still stand beside them while God changes their life.
Jesus didn’t call us to throw people away. He called us to love, forgive, and point people back to Him.
We are all flesh and blood. None of us are perfect. None of us are without sin.
Seven years of waiting.
One Sunday.
One changed life.
Brother, we are proud of you. Keep walking with Jesus. Keep telling your story. Someone who feels too far gone may hear your testimony and realize they’re not too far gone for God either.
And when that day comes, I pray you see exactly who you’ve been living for.
