Mt. Pleasant Evangelical Presbyterian Church Mt Pleasant sings the great hymns of the faith, preaches the whole Bible, with the Lord Jesus Christ being preeminent, with love for the saints & the lost.

Getting ready for Smaritan's Purse Boxes! Today we ate a quick lunch after church, then learned how to tie-dye shirts for the children's boxes. We are all anxious next week to see how they turned out. As someone said this morning they will be "groovy" looking!!!

Also we packed "Birthday Sacks" that we sponsor for the Food Pantry in Abilene. Each sack includes a cake mix, frosting, and cake pan; candles, plates and napkins; and fun toys!

Joy is what these shirts, (along with all the other items)for the Smaritan's Purse Boxes and the Birthday Party Sacks for the Food Pantry, will bring to children here and many many miles from here. So much JOY!! Thank you all for spreading Joy!

I'm a week late in posting our Christmas Program pictures. The program went so great! We had fun telling the story of Jesus' birth. As we posted before, the plot of the play is that the lights go out during a church program. In the pictures you will be able to tell when the lights are out and when they finally come back on. It all worked out well. (Comments in the pictures.)

Mt. Pleasant Church is gearing up for their special annual CHIRSTMAS EVENT on Sunday, December 8th. The BRUNCH begins serving at 8:30a.m. until 10:45 a.m.. Following is the PROGRAM at 10:00 a.m. The title of the play is "THE LIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS-LET THERE BE LIGHT". For the past month kids and adults have been working on their parts; learning songs; and bell choir practicing. It's time to light up Christmas!!! What happens when a glitch in your Christmas program causes all the lights at the church to suddenly go out! Oh, no!! It's a disaster!! The audience is in place; the chilren are hehearsed; the stage is set. The only thing missing is LIGHT!!! How can you go on......?
Come and "see" what happens! All are welcome.

Samaritan’s Purse boxes dedication before shipping them out to children around the world. I didn’t get a picture of the tables piled high with gifts. It was amazing!!! 😀 In thirty minutes our church packed 138 boxes!!!
