Guard the Truth

As Paul brings his first letter to Timothy to a close, he leaves one final charge that is just as urgent today as it was in the first century: "Guard what has been entrusted to your trust."

In a world filled with spiritual confusion, false teaching, and competing voices, God has entrusted His church with something precious—the truth of the gospel. The church is not called to reinvent the truth, soften the truth, or adapt the truth to culture. We are called to faithfully guard it, proclaim it, and pass it on to the next generation.

Join us as we conclude our series through 1 Timothy, The Household of God, and discover why biblical truth is a sacred trust that every believer is called to protect.

In a world chasing power, wealth, and self, God calls His people to pursue something greater. In this message from 1 Timothy 6:11–16, we explore Paul’s urgent charge to Timothy to flee the traps of this world and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

This passage is a powerful call to steadfastness in the Christian life. As believers, we are reminded that the Christian walk is not passive—it is a pursuit, a fight, and a faithful testimony before a watching world. Paul points us to the appearing of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is worthy of our worship, obedience, and hope.

In this sermon:
• What it means to flee worldly temptation
• The marks of a godly life
• Fighting the good fight of faith
• Living in light of Christ’s return

A Kingdom Perspective on Wealth | James 1:9–11 | Living Faith Series

Tonight in our Living Faith series through the book of James, we examine one of the most misunderstood subjects in the Christian life: wealth, poverty, and eternal perspective.

In James 1:9–11, James teaches believers how to view both prosperity and hardship through the lens of the kingdom of God. The world measures success by possessions, status, and influence—but God measures life by spiritual reality and eternal truth.

In this study, we will explore:

What it means for the “lowly brother” to rejoice
The difference between material poverty and spiritual poverty
Why wealth can become spiritually dangerous
The temporary nature of earthly success
How believers are called to live with an eternal perspective

This message will challenge us to examine where our security truly rests and remind us that real riches are found in Christ alone.
