An urgent need for volunteers from one of our partners! We would love your help!!

As rent continues to rise, more working families are facing impossible situations—living out of vehicles, without access to basic necessities like running water.

Our Family Shower Program provides a safe place to refresh, recharge, and restore dignity—but we can’t do it without you.

Men and women are needed to serve where and when it matters most.

Thank you to every person who gave, shared, prayed, encouraged, and supported We Love Abilene during the final Abilene Gives.

Because of your generosity, we raised $17,245 from 45 donors to continue our mission of meeting needs, building relationships, and providing hope to our neighbors.

As we prepare for the LAST ever Abilene Gives tomorrow, we invite you to listen to two stories from our community: a single mom finding stability through our Family Care Program, and a family surrounded and supported in a time of need by our church community.

This work doesn’t happen without you. Through partnership, service, and generosity, Gospel-centered hope is spread for individuals and families across our community.

Tomorrow, May 5th, is the day! Our goal is to raise $17,000 to meet immediate needs while walking alongside individuals and families toward long-term stability, hope, and flourishing.

Abilene Gives is ONE week away… and early giving is officially OPEN! 🎉

At We Love Abilene, we have the privilege of walking alongside families in our city with tangible care and Gospel-centered hope.

This year, our goal is $17,000, and every dollar goes toward creating spaces where families are seen, supported, and reminded they are not alone.

This month, we had the joy of showering two adolescent moms and their sweet baby boys with love and support. Our volunteers came together to set up, pray, and wrap around girls in our community. It was a day full of games, dancing, fellowship, and so much laughter!

On May 3rd, we are hosting another baby shower—this time celebrating a mom and her baby girl. We’re still in need of food and resource donations to help make this day just as special.

It’s National Social Work Month, and we are excited to share that Sarah McLean, Director of We Love Abilene, has been named Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Workers – West Central Texas Branch. This award recognizes her meaningful contributions to the field of social work and her impact on the citizens of the Taylor County community.
