Good Morning Friends! This is the final worship service for Grace United Methodist Church in Abbeville. We were so blessed to have 141 people join us in person for worship. Many were friends we had not seen for a long time, and it was good to be together again. In our time of praise and worship, we had two more young people confirm their baptism and profess their faith in Jesus. One of our members shared memories about Grace UMC and gave a message of encouragement, saying that part of the congregation will continue to meet as a new church in Abbeville. Our scripture lesson for our time together comes from Nehemiah 8:1-10. In his last message as a pastor in the United Methodist Church, Pastor Matt reminds us about God's continued grace in seasons of grief and loss in his sermon, "The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength."

Heavenly Father, as Psalm 112:4-7 reminds us, we pray for the strength to be upright, to see light even in darkness, and to have hearts that are firm in trusting You. When faced with challenges and uncertainties, help us not to be shaken by bad news, but to stand steadfast in our faith, knowing that You are our rock and foundation. Grant us the courage to live with unwavering trust, so that even when the world around us seems unstable, our hearts remain anchored in Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May I shine like a star in the darkness, holding fast to the word of life, so that I may reflect your glory and be a beacon of hope to those around me. Heavenly Father, as Joshua 1:9 reminds us, 'Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go,' fill me with the strength and courage to face the challenges ahead. Help me to trust in your presence, overcome my fears, and walk boldly in the path you have set for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, when the storms of life rage around me and fear threatens to consume me, remind me to keep my eyes fixed on You, just as Peter did when he walked on water. Strengthen my faith so that even in the midst of turbulent waters, I can confidently step out and trust in your power to uphold me. Lord, when I begin to sink, reach out your hand and say, 'Come,' so that I may find stability and peace in your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Heavenly Father, in the midst of these challenges we face, we cling to your unwavering love as expressed in Romans 8:38-39. Remind us that no matter what trials come our way, whether it be hardship, fear, or uncertainty, nothing can ever separate us from your embrace in Christ Jesus. Strengthen our faith, fill us with your peace, and guide us through these difficulties, knowing that your love for us remains constant and unshakeable. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Merciful Lord, we come to you today with thanksgiving in our heart. We are grateful that you took the sins of the world, endured the humiliation and brokenness of all humanity on the cross on our behalf. Look upon us with mercy today as we do our best to live into this new life you have provided for us. May we always remember that your grace is enough. In Your name we pray Lord Jesus. Amen.

Today was a great day of worship. We celebrated the confirmation of two of our youth. We had the chance to sing praises to God and learn more about taking time to be with Jesus. Thank you Lord for this day!
