RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Thursday, October 8th, 2026.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD.

IT PAYS TO KNOW YOUR PLACE IN TIME.

"...And who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14).

Throughout history, there have been moments when God moved in extraordinary ways to accomplish His purpose. In such times, the crucial question isn't merely what God is doing, but whether those He has positioned for that moment recognise their role in it. When the Jewish people faced annihilation in Esther's day, God had already positioned Esther in the palace.

What appeared to be a personal elevation was in reality, part of a larger divine purpose. Esther understood that her position, influence and opportunity carried a significance greater than herself. Don't go through life unaware of the opportunities God has placed before you. Never see the events of your life as ordinary and your assignments as routine.

God often works through seemingly ordinary situations to accomplish extraordinary things. The difference lies in recognising your place in His unfolding purpose. This is why spiritual discernment is so important. You must learn to recognise the significance of the opportunities, responsibilities and assignments God entrusts to you.

The Lord didn't place you where you are by accident. Recognise the value of your contribution to His Kingdom and respond with faith and diligence. Know your place in time and participate effectively in what God is doing through His Church in these last days.

CONFESSION.
I walk in spiritual discernment and recognise the opportunities, responsibilities and assignments God has given me to fulfil my role faithfully and effectively in the ministry of the Gospel. The Gospel is advancing through me, and the Name of Jesus is known and magnified in all the earth. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Esther 4:13-14
[13] Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. [14] For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Ephesians 5:15-17
[15]See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, [16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. [17] Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is.]

The harvest is calling, and you are the answer to someone's prayer today.

Jesus looked at the multitudes and saw weary, scattered people, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He saw something more: a plentiful, overflowing harvest of souls ready for the Kingdom!

It is still true. Some hide their emptiness behind smiles. Others mask desperation with success. But deep down they are hungry for something real and eternal that only Jesus can give.

Notice the problem Jesus named: not the harvest, but the labourers. "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few" (Matthew 9:37). You don't need a pulpit or a microphone. You need a willing heart and an open mouth. Your office, campus, social media, neighbourhood and family are your harvest field.

So pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers, then answer your own prayer by being the one He sends.

My declaration: I am a labourer in God's harvest field. I go forth with purpose and passion, and I will bring in a great harvest of souls for His Kingdom!

Who has God placed on your heart to share Jesus with this week? Tell me in the comments. I am praying over every answer.

Better stung and saved than soothed and stuck.

Correction stings because it is doing surgery. Do not run from the scalpel. The Father corrects those He loves—the discomfort is proof of belonging, not proof of rejection. Read the pain rightly.

You do not have to like it. You do have to receive it. Many forfeit destiny because they could not survive a rebuke. They mistook the surgeon's hand for an enemy's and walked away from the very table that would have set them free.

When God corrects, He is preparing you to carry more. When men correct, weigh it humbly and let the Spirit sift. Even imperfect correction can be a mirror; do not despise the messenger for the gift.

Stay correctable, and you stay usable — that is the simple law of growing servants.

When did a correction sting you at first, but later set you free? Tell me below. I am praying over every answer.

God has handed YOU the ministry of reconciliation. Not just pastors. Not just missionaries. You.

Through the cross, the gulf between humanity and God has been bridged. God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people's sins against them (2 Corinthians 5:19). He is not looking down with a clenched fist. He already dealt with sin at the cross.

The problem was never God's willingness. It is humanity's ignorance: many people simply don't know they have been reconciled. That is where you come in.

You are God's ambassador, and when an ambassador speaks, the full authority of the government behind them stands with them. Your message is not "God is mad at you, repent before He punishes you." Your message is: "God has already reconciled you through Christ. Receive what He has already done!"

Walk in that consciousness today. Wherever you go, you carry the message that God loves the world and has made a way back through Jesus.

Who is one person God is putting on your heart to share this good news with today? Tell me in the comments. I am praying over every answer.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD.

Wednesday, October 7th, 2026.

THINK BEYOND THIS WORLD.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Corinthians 4:18).

One of the most important lessons in the Christian life is learning to see beyond the present world and its temporary concerns. Many of the decisions people make are based entirely on what benefits them now, what feels convenient today, or what appears advantageous in the moment. But God's perspective is different. He evaluates everything in the light of eternity.

This is one reason God's instructions often seem unusual to the natural mind. He sees what lies beyond the present. He knows the eternal significance of our choices and understands the glory that awaits those who walk in His will. While human reasoning is often preoccupied with immediate outcomes, God's wisdom is focused on realities that endure forever.

His Kingdom that we're part of, is a spiritual and everlasting Kingdom. He's given us an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. This means your life is connected to something far greater than the fleeting systems, structures and pursuits of this world. You're called to live and see from an eternal perspective.

When you understand this, your priorities become clearer. You recognise the value of serving the Lord, advancing the Gospel, and investing your time, resources, and energies in things that produce eternal fruits. You realise that the greatest opportunities in life are not necessarily those that bring the most immediate rewards but those that align with God's purpose and contribute to His eternal plan.

Refuse to evaluate your life merely by earthly gains, temporary comforts, or momentary advantages. The world and its systems will pass away, but God's Kingdom is forever. Therefore, think beyond this world. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. So, let eternity shape your priorities, your decisions and your pursuits. When you do, you'll live with purpose and the confidence that your labour in the Lord is never in vain.

PRAYER.
Righteous Father, I thank you for giving me an eternal inheritance in Christ and teaching me to see life from your divine perspective. I walk in wisdom and make decisions that align with your purpose and your eternal Kingdom. My heart is set on you to fulfil your divine purpose and establish your righteousness in the earth, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:

Colossians 3:1-2
[1] If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1 John 2:17
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

2 Corinthians 4:17
[17] For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; [18] While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal, but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

The altar feeds the arena; the arena does not feed the altar.

The arena cheers; the altar transforms. Many begin at the altar and end in the arena—they were formed in prayer and lost in performance. Do not let the cheers move your address from the secret place to the spotlight.

Keep the altar central. Even when the arena demands your hours, keep the altar your home. The minute the altar is decorative, the arena is dangerous, and the same room that praises you will eventually drain you.

Pull back from the lights and rebuild the fire. The same hands that lift in worship are the hands that should lift the microphone, and never in the reverse order.

Stay close to the altar, and the arena will not own you — no applause replaces the smell of incense.

Where do you feel the pull of the arena most right now, and what is one thing you will do this week to keep the altar your home? Tell me below — I am praying over every answer.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc DSc DD.

Tuesday, October 6th, 2026.

IT'S ALWAYS IN YOUR INTEREST.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son... (John 3:16).

One of the greatest truths to understand in your walk with God is that He never asks anything of you for His benefit. Whenever He instructs, guides, correct or directs you, it's always in your interest. Everything He does is motivated by His love for you and His desire to bring you into the fullness of His greater blessings and purpose for your life.

Consider what He did through Jesus Christ. He gave His Son for us. Jesus laid down His life, bore our sins, and rose triumphantly from the dead to bring us into fellowship with the Father. Yet His love didn't stop there. Having been exalted to the place of supreme authority and glory, He chose to share that inheritance with us. The Bible says we're "...heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ..." (Romans 8:17).

Think about it: The One who possesses all things didn't simply bless us from His abundance; He brought us into joint ownership. This helps us understand God's dealings with us. Never view or relate with His instructions through the lens of loss or sacrifice. Rather, see them as expressions of His love and wisdom.

Trust His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your life, knowing that He has your highest good at heart. He loves you more than you love yourself. He’s more passionate about your success than you could ever be. The God who gave His Son for you and made you a joint- heir with Christ will never lead you into anything that isn't ultimately in your best interest.

PRAYER.
Dear Father, thank you for your immeasurable love and goodness toward me. I trust your wisdom and your guidance, knowing that every instruction you give is motivated by your love and designed for my benefit. My heart is yielded to you, and I walk confidently in your perfect will, with full assurance that your plans for me are excellent and designed for my blessing, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Jesus never said, "Ye shall be debaters." He said, "Ye shall be witnesses." (Acts 1:8)

A witness simply tells what they know, what they've seen and what they've experienced. A debater tries to win an argument. God didn't call you to win arguments; He called you to win souls!

The blind man in John 9 understood this. The Pharisees interrogated him and pressed him with theological questions. His answer was simple and irrefutable: "One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see!" No seminary degree. No stack of answers. Just a testimony nobody could argue with.

Your story of how God saved you, healed you, delivered you, provided for you or restored your home is living proof that Jesus is alive today. Revelation 12:11 says the saints overcame "by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." When you share it, strongholds break, doubts dissolve and faith arises.

So stop trying to debate people into the Kingdom. Share your story. Let your life be the evidence that the Gospel is real.

Confession: I am a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ. My testimony is powerful and irrefutable. I do not argue, I testify!

What is the one testimony God has placed on your heart to share with someone this week? Tell me in the comments. I'm praying over every answer.

Truth keeps you when comfort cannot.

Truth is not a tool you use only when convenient. It is the air your spirit breathes. Compromise the air, and the spirit grows faint—and a faint spirit cannot do the work the Father is asking of you.

You will be tempted to soften facts to keep peace, to bend words to keep position, to omit the part of the message that costs you something. Each shave erodes the foundation under your feet, and eventually the floor gives way.

Speak truth in love—but speak it. Sit in the room where lies would have given you ease, and tell the truth anyway. The God of truth is jealous over those who refuse to trade Him for comfort, and He defends them in ways no flattery ever could.

Truth has its own defenders; let it speak.

Where is the truth costing you something right now, and what will you do about it? Tell me below. I am praying over every answer.

05/10/2026

Before you speak to anyone about Jesus, speak to the Holy Spirit first.

Soul winning is not a solo assignment. The Holy Spirit is your partner, your helper and your power source in evangelism.

Jesus didn't tell His disciples, "Go and try your best." He said, "Wait until you receive power." They were trained. They knew the message. But knowledge alone wasn't enough. When the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, Peter, the same man who denied Jesus three times, stood up and preached, and three thousand souls were saved in a single day.

Here is the freedom: your job is not to convict anyone. That is His. John 16:8 says He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgement. Your job is to open your mouth and speak the truth in love. He prepares hearts, opens blind eyes and draws people to the Saviour.

Feeling inadequate? In your own strength, you are. But you have the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead living inside you, giving you the boldness, the words and the wisdom.

Lean in today. Ask Him to guide you, to give you the right words, and to go before you.

Who is the one person the Holy Spirit has put on your heart to reach? Tell me in the comments. I am praying over every answer.
