Mark:3.1
Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.

Mark:3.2
Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.

Mark:3.3
Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."

Mark:3.4
Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.

Mark:3.5

Dear God, help us to be more focused on you than we are on ourself. Do not let us fall into the trap of believing we can do things on our own and that we do not need you. You are all we need, O Lord. Your word tells us you are always near and that if we seek you, we will find you. Thank you for loving us enough to stay near. May we always place our faith in you rather than in our own abilities.
