DECEMBER 31/ EMBRACE YOUR SEASON.
My fellow Brethren in Christ Jesus and Fellow workers in the Faith , here we are in the week between Christmas and few hours to new year 2017 and we feel so strange. We ask ourselves, "God, what am I doing here?" We wonder what next week is going to hold for us, and what next year is going to hold for us. However, this season of in-between can often be a great time spiritually for us. God is so good; he is always able to take those difficult things we didn't ask for and things we didn't want, and use them to prepare us for something great. God always has something good for us , may the coming year 2017 be a year of rebirth and spiritual revival/renewal and rejuvenation , so rest in God and have faith in him that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus......Amen .

DECEMBER 26 I FACE TO FACE

We have more ways to connect with each other than we've ever had: I'll call you, I'll email you, I'll Facetime you, I'll Facebook you, I'll text you, I'll tweet you, I'll YouTube you. However, even with all these communications methods, community has never been more fake and fragmented. We are training ourselves that the best and safest way to have community is to hide behind a screen. We have to pick the perfect picture and personal description to show only our best memories. We'll never post a picture of ourselves weeping, sick, or feeling alone because we need God. This isn't real community. You need to actually shake hands, hug your friends, talk to people face to face, and to have an actual shoulder to cry on when you weep. We experience God's love and through people; when a person that's filled with the Holy Spirit says I love you, God is using them to say he loves you. As Christians, we believe that through the Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit abides in every person that has faith. Think of your spirituality as training, and nothing trains you better than the friends you have. We all need community, so we can feel and be God's love with our friends and family.

PRAYER: Thank you, God, for my community. Thank you for all the people that represent your love for me. Help me love people like you love me.

DECEMBER 27 I SURROUND YOURSELF WITH LOVE

You should weave into your life people that are positive: people that love you, encourage you, forgive you, and comfort you when you're hurting. That's what the church is supposed to be; if it isn't, then it's just a club. We need to have a community of people who encourage one another and realign our hearts with the kingdom reality that all humans deserve dignity because they're loved by God. That there's one voice that matters that says you're not what you do, you're not what you have, you're not what people say about you. You're my son, you're my daughter and I love you and that will never go away.

PRAYER: Thank you, God, for loving me and for filling my community with love.
