Does the Bible support the theory of the secret rapture? And if not, how can it be proven? These were some of the questions I had when first encountered this idea, and perhaps you have also had similar questions. So, letโ€™s look at how this doctrine has started.

The secret rapture doctrine was first popularized by John N. Darby in the 1830โ€™s, and was later spread in the United States by Cyrus I. Scofield through his sermons. He was also the author of the references in the Scofield Reference Bible. As a result, most Protestant evangelicals have accepted this doctrine as Bible truth. The secret rapture theory consists of the idea that Christโ€™s coming will take place in two separate events. The first time, Christ will come secretly to take the faithful Christians to heaven. Life on earth will continue for a seven-year tribulation. During that time, many people will be converted and be saved. Then Christ will come visibly, the second time, and take a second group of Christians to heaven. Letโ€™s put this theory to the most reliable testโ€”the Word of God.

To support the idea of the secret rapture, its proponents quote Matthew 24:40, 41: โ€œThen shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.โ€

When these verses are taken out of context, it may seem that a secret rapture is a possibility. But letโ€™s read the previous verses, 37 to 39, to have a better understanding: โ€œBut as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.โ€

Now that we have read the entire passage, we see that Jesus is clearly drawing a parallel between conditions of the world in the days of Noah to that at His Second Coming. The verses state that some people will be saved, and some will be lost (verse 41). The words โ€œtakenโ€ and โ€œtookโ€ are mentioned, but what do they imply? Noah and his family entered the ark and were saved, while those who didnโ€™t want to enter in were left outside. Did those who refused to enter have another chance to be saved? No, they were destroyed by the flood. So, the same will happen when Christ comes at the end of the world. One person will be taken to heaven and the other will be left to be destroyed. โ€œAnd shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teethโ€ (Matthew 24:51).

We notice that a few Bible verses when taken out of context can cause some to believe that Christโ€™s Second Coming will be a secret event. However, after carefully reading and understanding the entire passage, we can confidently say that this is not a biblical doctrine. Since the faithful Christians will not be secretly raptured, how will God take them to their heavenly home? The Bible clearly explains how Christโ€™s Second Coming will take place.

The coming of our Lord will be more visible and unmistakable than any could imagine. Everyone on the earth will see Him coming in the clouds with power and glory, and with Him thousands upon thousands of angels.

โ€œBehold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amenโ€ (Revelation 1:7).

โ€œFor as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man beโ€ (Matthew 24:27).

โ€œAnd then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great gloryโ€ (Matthew 24:30).

Christ will come again in the same manner as He ascended to heaven over 2,000 years ago. This means that His coming will not be symbolic but a literal, visible event.

โ€œAnd when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heavenโ€ (Acts 1:9-11).

Christโ€™s voice will be heard throughout the earth; it will even raise the dead in Christ.

โ€œFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise firstโ€ (1 Thessalonians 4:16).

โ€œOur God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about himโ€ (Psalm 50:3).

How do we know that Christโ€™s coming will open graves? Godโ€™s word tells us, โ€œMarvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnationโ€ (John 5:28, 29).

We see that only two types of people will resurrectโ€”the wicked who chose not to accept Christ, and those Christians who are saved. This resurrection must take place so that all the saints may be taken to heaven. The verses clearly state that the dead in Christ will be raised by His power and will meet the living saints in the air.

โ€œFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lordโ€ (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17).

โ€œAnd this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last dayโ€ (John 6:40).

The coming of Christ will be so powerful that even mountains and islands will not stand before His presence. The earth will shake and break down. The Lord will come to destroy the earth and remove sin.

โ€œAnd the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their placesโ€ (Revelation 6:14).

โ€œThe earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise againโ€ (Isaiah 24:19, 20).

Christโ€™s coming will bring the final judgment and the reward to every person. Each one will already have made his/her decision; there will be no second chance to be converted. Today is our opportunity to hear Christโ€™s voice and to follow Him.

โ€œFor the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his worksโ€ (Matthew 16:27).

โ€œAnd, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall beโ€ (Revelation 22:12).

THE PAGAN ORIGIN OF EASTER

Easter is a day that is honered by nearly all of contemporary Christianity and is used to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The holiday often involves a church service at sunrise, a feast which includes an โ€œEaster Hamโ€, decorated eggs and stories about rabbits.

Those who love truth learn to ask questions, and many questions must be asked regarding the holiday of Easter.

Is it truly the day when Jesus arose from the dead? Where did all of the strange customs come from, which have nothing to do with the resurrection of our Saviour?

The purpose of this tract is to help answer those questions, and to help those who seek truth to draw their own conclusions.

The first thing we must understand is that professing Christians were not the only ones who celebrated a festival called โ€œEaster.โ€

โ€œIshtarโ€, which is pronounced โ€œEasterโ€ was a day that commemorated the resurrection of one of their gods that they called โ€œTammuzโ€, who was believed to be the only begotten son of the moon-goddess and the sun-god.

In those ancient times, there was a man named Ni**od, who was the grandson of one of Noahโ€™s son named Ham.

Ham had a son named Cush who married a woman named Semiramis.Cush and Semiramis then had a son named him โ€œNi**od.โ€

After the death of his father, Ni**od married his own mother and became a powerful King.

The Bible tells of of this man, Ni**od, in Genesis 10:8-10 as follows: โ€œAnd Cush begat Ni**od: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, even as Ni**od the mighty hunter before the Lord. And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.โ€

Ni**od became a god-man to the people and Semiramis, his wife and mother, became the powerful Queen of ancient Babylon.

Ni**od was eventually killed by an enemy, and his body was cut in pieces and sent to various parts of his kingdom.

Semiramis had all of the parts gathered, except for one part that could not be found.

That missing part was his reproductive organ. Semiramis claimed that Ni**od could not come back to life without it and told the people of Babylon that Ni**od had ascended to the sun and was now to be called โ€œBaalโ€, the sun god.

Queen Semiramis also proclaimed that Baal would be present on earth in the form of a flame, whether candle or lamp, when used in worship.

Semiramis was creating a mystery religion, and with the help of Satan, she set herself up as a goddess.

Semiramis claimed that she was immaculately conceived.

She taught that the moon was a goddess that went through a 28 day cycle and ovulated when full.

She further claimed that she came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River.

This was to have happened at the time of the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Semiramis became known as โ€œIshtarโ€ which is pronounced โ€œEasterโ€, and her moon egg became known as โ€œIshtarโ€™sโ€ egg.โ€

Ishtar soon became pregnant and claimed that it was the rays of the sun-god Baal that caused her to conceive.

The son that she brought forth was named Tammuz.

Tammuz was noted to be especially fond of rabbits, and they became sacred in the ancient religion, because Tammuz was believed to be the son of the sun-god, Baal. Tammuz, like his supposed father, became a hunter.

The day came when Tammuz was killed by a wild pig.

Queen Ishtar told the people that Tammuz was now ascended to his father, Baal, and that the two of them would be with the worshippers in the sacred candle or lamp flame as Father, Son and Spirit.

Ishtar, who was now worshipped as the โ€œMother of God and Queen of Heavenโ€, continued to build her mystery religion.

The queen told the worshippers that when Tammuz was killed by the wild pig, some of his blood fell on the stump of an evergreen tree, and the stump grew into a full new tree overnight. This made the evergreen tree sacred by the blood of Tammuz.

She also proclaimed a forty day period of time of sorrow each year prior to the anniversary of the death of Tammuz.

During this time, no meat was to be eaten.

Worshippers were to meditate upon the sacred mysteries of Baal and Tammuz, and to make the sign of the โ€œTโ€ in front of their hearts as they worshipped.

They also ate sacred cakes with the marking of a โ€œTโ€ or cross on the top.

Every year, on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, a celebration was made.

It was Ishtarโ€™s Sunday and was celebrated with rabbits and eggs.

Ishtar also proclaimed that because Tammuz was killed by a pig, that a pig must be eaten on that Sunday.

By now, the readers of this tract should have made the connection that paganism has infiltrated the contemporary โ€œChristianโ€ churches, and further study indicates that this paganism came in by way of the Roman Catholic System.

The truth is that Easter has nothing whatsoever to do with the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We also know that Easter can be as much as three weeks away from the Passover, because the pagan holiday is always set as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Some have wondered why the word โ€œEasterโ€ is in the the King James Bible.

It is because Acts, chapter 12, tells us that it was the evil King Herod, who was planning to celebrate Easter, and not the Christians.

The true Passover and pagan Easter sometimes coincide, but in some years, they are a great distance apart.

So much more could be said, and we have much more information for you, if you are a seeker of the truth.

We know that the Bible tells us in John 4:24, โ€œGod is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.โ€

The truth is that the forty days of Lent, eggs, rabbits, hot cross buns and the Easter ham have everything to do with the ancient pagan religion of Mystery Babylon. These are all antichrist activities!

Satan is a master deceiver, and has filled the lives of well-meaning, professing Christians with idolatry.

These things bring the wrath of God upon children of disobedience, who try to make pagan customs of Baal worship Christian.

You must answer for your activities and for what you teach your children.

These customs of Easter honor Baal, who is also Satan, and is still worshipped as the โ€œRising Sunโ€ and his house is the โ€œHouse of the Rising Sun.โ€

How many churches have โ€œsunrise servicesโ€ on Ishtarโ€™s day and face the rising sun in the East?

How many will use colored eggs and rabbit stories, as they did in ancient Babylon.

These things are no joke, any more than Judgement day is a joke.

I pray to God that this tract will cause you to search for more truth.

We will be glad to help you by providing more information and by praying for you.

These are the last days, and it is time to repent, come out and be separate.

Spread the love

WHY KEEP THE SABBATH DAY?

After working the first six days of the week in creating this earth, the great God rested on the seventh day. (Genesis 2:1.3.)

This stamped that day as God's rest day, or Sabbath day, as Sabbath day means rest day. To illustrate: When a person is born on a certain day, that day thus becomes his birthday. So when God rested upon the seventh day, that day became His rest, or Sabbath, day.

Therefore the seventh day must always be God's Sabbath day. Can you change your birthday from the day on which you were born to one on which you were not born? No. Neither can you change God's rest day to a day on which He did not rest. Hence the seventh day is still God's Sabbath day.

The Creator blessed the seventh day. (Genesis 2:3.)

He sanctified the seventh day. (Exodus 20:11.)

He made it the Sabbath day in the Garden of Eden. (Genesis 2:1-3.)

It was made before the fall; hence it is not a type; for types were not introduced till after the fall.

Jesus says it was made for man (Mark 2:27), that is, for the race, as the word man is here unlimited; hence, for the Gentile as well as for the Jew.

It is a memorial of creation. (Exodus 20:11; 31:17.) Every time we rest upon the seventh day, as God did at creation, we commemorate that grand event.

It was given to Adam, the head of the human race. (Mark 2:27; Genesis 2:1-3.)

Hence through him, as our representative, to all nations. (Acts 17:26.)

It is' not a Jewish institution, for it was made 2,300 years before ever there was a Jew.

The Bible never calls it the Jewish Sabbath, but always "the Sabbath of the Lord thy God." Men should be cautious how they stigmatize God's holy rest day.

Evident reference is made to the Sabbath and the seven-day week all, through the patriarchal age. (Genesis 2:l-3; 8:10,12; 29:27,28.etc.)

It was a part of God's law before Sinai. (Exodus 16:4, 27-29.)

IMPORTANT OF MARRYING A GODLY WOMAN.

1. She Embodies Faith and Devotion

A godly woman prioritizes her relationship with God, anchoring her identity in His truth. Through prayer, worship, and study of Scripture, she cultivates a heart that seeks wisdom and discernment (Proverbs 31:30). Her unwavering faith becomes a lighthouse for others, inspiring trust in Godโ€™s promises even in trials. Her devotion creates a legacy of spiritual resilience for future generations.

2. She Loves with Compassion and Grace

A godly woman mirrors Christโ€™s loveโ€”selfless, patient, and kind (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). She nurtures her family, friends, and strangers with empathy, offering forgiveness and encouragement. Her compassion heals wounds, bridges divides, and creates safe spaces for others to grow. Whether through a listening ear, acts of service, or gentle counsel, she reflects Godโ€™s heart to the broken and weary.

3. She Walks in Wisdom and Integrity**
Guided by biblical principles, a godly woman makes decisions rooted in righteousness and humility. Her speech is seasoned with grace, her actions honor God, and her integrity earns trust (Proverbs 31:26). She stewards her time, resources, and influence wisely, modeling balance and purpose. Her life becomes a blueprint for others to follow.

4. She Strengthens Her Home and Community.

A godly woman is a cornerstone of her household, fostering peace, unity, and spiritual growth. She raises children with love and truth, instilling values that shape character (Proverbs 22:6). She supports her spouse with loyalty and partnership, embodying the strength described in Proverbs 31:25. Beyond her home, she serves her communityโ€”feeding the hungry, advocating for justice, and sharing hope.
