Seek guidance from the Lord!
Joshua 9:14 Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the Lord.
In this text we see that the leaders of Israel didn't take time before the Lord for His guidance and so they're lied by people had fear for their lives.
God had not prohibited any alliances and even to us it's okay to make alliances but I want to point to the fact it's important to seek the guidance of God, we make alliances for business, ministry, hiring people in our organization, or even living as a community. The intentions of those coming to make alliances need careful consideration and thankfully, God has given us His spirit and the power of discernment. If we ask for it, we shall have it!
Dear friends before you sign that alliance, have you taken time to pray over it? Probably you will need more probing questions or rather background checks to be sure they're true.
May the Lord grant you the power to discern the alliances for His glory!

Ruth 1:6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the Lord had visited His people by giving them bread.

When is that last time you heard of something so good happening after you left a place? Something good can happen in the same place that we are right now! It takes courage for one to believe God is not a God of place but places, He works without boundary and Naomi it was famine that took them away from Judah and about 10 years later she loses the husband and the sons but God had visited His people in Judah and there was food now! She made a decision to go back to Judah and enjoy the provisions of God, shall we make a turn and go back to the presence of God? That's all what God wants for us, to be in His presence.

May God meet with you in that place you are now. Let the news come to you for the Lord has visited.
