At the founding of the Buganda kingdom as we know it today,The lugave CLAN is one of the 5 clans that were indigenous to Buganda kingdom before the coming of kintu.members of e 5 clans are referred to as the ORIGINALS "BANNANSANGWA" The other orignal clans were the Ffembe,Njaza,Ngeye and Nnyonyi Nnyange.
