*Launching of the newly constructed gate at Mbarara Junior School.*

On Thursday 25th April 2024, the Bishop of Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev. Assoc. Prof Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa accompanied by the RCC, Dean St James cathedral The Very Rev Canon Bobs Nathan Mwesigye, officially opened the long waited gate of Mbarara Junior School.
The Headteacher Mbarara Junior School Mr. Mugume Nathan in his communication introduced the board members, Chief Guest, RCC, City Education Officer, Senior Obs, Head teachers of other schools, teachers, principal HRO of Mbarara City and members of Management. He thanked the government for the continuous support towards the school in terms of salary.

The Chair of school management in his communication thanked the efforts of teachers, head teacher, Parents and Ministry of education for paying salaries. He appreciated the work being done at Mbarara Junior School especially members of staff and Headteacher for implementing everything that is always planned. He thanked Mr. Karaganwa for donating the proposed site plan for Mbarara Junior School.

The Diocesan Education secretary Rev Canon Agasha Muhwezi in his remarks thanked Mbarara Junior School for the good work done and for always representing the Diocese so well.

The RCC thanked Bishop Sheldon for the good work he is doing in the Diocese and thanked Mr. Mugume Nathan for elevating Mbarara Junior School to what it is now. He encouraged members to work so hard to support government to execute their duties well.

The Bishop of Ankole, The Rt. Rev. Assoc. Prof. Fred Sheldon thanked God for officially opening the mighty gate and thanked God for the good leadership of Mbarara Junior School that has worked so hard to bring this beautiful gate to place. Bishop Sheldon Mwesigwa applauded the Headmaster Mr Mugume for good financial discipline that enabled to close the term without a single debt of any supplier alongside constructing thr magnificent gate and other developments.
Bishop Sheldon thanked the school management and PTA for the support rendered to the school. He encouraged members to get rid of every malice, jealous and hate in their community and then they will live in harmony and in peace.

*Millennium Sacco 2012 LTD declares Dividends.*

On 21st March 2024, Millennium Sacco 2012 Ltd declared dividends of 31.9% for the year 2023 (3,190/= per share). The AGM resolved to give shares according to Pro-rata basis which means that some shareholders who bought shares at the begining of the year may have as high as interest of 50%. This return is higher than any other investment option available on the Ugandan market.

•MTN Uganda dividend yield for the year 2023 was 3.8% (6.4/= per share)
•Stanbic had 18.3% dividend yield for 2023
• NSSF gave it's members 10% interest
• Government Treasury bills for 2023 were at 12.3% interest max
•Government Treasury bonds for 2023 were at 17% interest for 15 years.

Dr Silyvester Ndolerire the CEO of Uganda Cooperative Savings and Credit Union (UCUSCU) informed Millennium SACCO AGM members that they need to be delighted to learn that their SACCO now ranks seventh nationally out of about 1400 registered institutional SACCOs with the lead SACCO being WAZALENDO SACCO.

Millennium Sacco 2012 ltd aims to reduce poverty levels in the communities it serves by increasing financial accessibility to these communities as we provide value as well to our shareholders

*Mbarara High School Inauguration service for Senior one and Senior five*
On Wednesday 20th March 2024, the Bishop of Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev. Assoc. Prof Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa accompanied by the Dean St James cathedral The Very Rev Canon Bobs Nathan Mwesigye and Diocesan Secretary Rev Canon Edson Abaasa presided over an inauguration service for senior one and senior five at St. James Cathedral.

Bishop Mwesigwa while preaching, thanked God for Mbarara High School and for the great things God is surely doing in terms of performance. He asked the students not to repeat the same mistakes some of their former old Boys made in the name of tradition during their stay at Mbarara High School but rather purpose to be extraordinary. He asked them to be focused and purposed so that they can be able to conquer the Promised Land. Referring to Luke 10.32, Bishop Sheldon asked the incoming students to choose to sit at the feet of Jesus and not be distracted by the worldly pleasures like Martha. He continued to urge them to choose well how they use their time, how they relate with teachers and ended by encouraging the born again students to go into leadership referring to the previous Head boy Mr. Aaron Mwesigye who was born again and scored 19 aggregates in MEE. Mbarara High School has elected born again students as Headboys for the last five years.

The Diocesan Secretary Rev Canon Edson Abaasa who represented the Old Boys said that Mbarara High School has got a rich history and has made a good name over time. He therefore asked senior one and senior five students to defend that rich history and good name of Mbarara High School for a good name is better than riches. He urged them to be disciplined students, work hard and achieve their grades which will push them to a higher level and above all commit their way to the Lord for the Lord will direct their path referring to proverbs 3.5

Prof Gershom Atukunda who is also an Old Boy and the Ag. Vice Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University on the other hand asked the students to thank God that they have joined Mbarara High School and encouraged them to have dreams and targets for their future. He asked them to be determined amidst the challenges that this life will present, and always purpose to persevere to attain their targets and goals.

The Head Master Mr. Hamm Ahimbisibwe appreciated the Bishop for honoring their invitation and presiding the Inauguration service. He said that they have received 402 students in senior one and 255 in senior five and said that he thanks God for they have continued to have improved performance. He appreciated the PTA, Teachers, Fellow head teachers of other schools, the Old Boys of Mbarara High School and well-wishers and the media for the great support rendered which has enabled the school to grow.
