PUT YOUR HOPE IN HIM

Psalms 31:1-8
[1]For the choir director: A psalm of David. O Lord, I have come to you for protection; don't let me be put to shame. Rescue me, for you always do what is right.
[2] Bend down and listen to me; rescue me quickly. Be for me a great rock of safety, a fortress where my enemies cannot reach me.
[3] You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this peril.
[4] Pull me from the trap my enemies set for me, for I find protection in you alone.
[5] I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God.
[6] I hate those who worship worthless idols. I trust in the Lord.
[7]I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.
[8] You have not handed me over to my enemy but have set me in a safe place.
Dear brethren, praise the Lord! While I did my routine bible study this morning, I felt the Lord encourage me to share with you, to put and keep your hope in Him. Here is WHY...
💝Vs 1. He always does right. He is righteous. He is that friend, demonstrated the greatest love even so by giving His life for you and me.[1 John 3:16] He is not that mother and that father, that bestie, that boy/girl/man/woman friend who will change their mind the next moment, He is God and and loves you.
💝 Vs 2: He has promised to rescue you quickly. He remains your only ever present help in time of need, who will never fail you. Remember 1 John 5:14-15 teaches us that He hears us and as such we remain in confident trust whatever the case. He is not that friend who will say to you, come back tomorrow or try again later. He is nearer than you think, such an awesome God.
💝 Vs 3. It honors His name to make you well! That state you are in is to bring Him glory and that's why it's public, those that see you struggle today, shall be the same people to testify. Have you ever thought about how the feeding of multitudes by Jesus came about, it all began with a hungry team of disciples. Men who had left their work, their jobs, their everything to follow Him were hungry...ridiculous isn't it? It was to bring Him glory. That pain you go through today, the tears you cry now, the wall you see in front and behind you is to bring Him glory.
💝 Vs 4-5: He is ready to rescue you. Find you protection in Him, for outside that we are uncovered and vulnerable. Remember Psalms 127:1 teaches us that except He guards a city, the guards labour in vain.
He is faithful, all His promises are yes and Amen, He is unchangeable.
He sets a table before us in the presence of our enemies...He knows those enemies, do not fret! Keep your trust in Him. Psalms 23 will be made manifest in your life.
💝 Vs 6: There is a blessing in trusting Him. Remember Psalms 1:1- Most blessed is the man who walks not in counsel of the ungodly, nor sits on the sits of the scornful... Where is your trust? Selah.... If it's your money, it'll fail, if it's your job, it'll fail, if it's your skill and intelligence, it'll soon wither and fail... everything else will fail! There's no place for arguement. I love the song... "Those that know you will trust in you not in horses and chariots, by the arm of flesh, no man can prevail..."
💝 Vs 7: He cares for you. He is concerned about you. He knows you by the number of hair on your head. He calls you by name***
💝 Vs 8: He is your shield that never fails. He is your hiding place. Psalms 91 teaches us who He is unto the righteous*** He is a strong tower and a place of safety and refuge.
You will find some words with*** just for you to ponder more...
If these things are to be effective, you must cultivate a personal relationship with Christ... It gives you the legal right to be called a son if God and as a Father to you, He will be delighted to do these and more if you will believe. He will change your name and change your state, He will change your state and change your story, He will change your story and change your destiny, He will change your life and make it eternal with Him, in Him and through Him.
And He said to them, marvel not that I say to you, You must be born again. [John 3:7]
Action point:
🛅Withdraw all your hope and trust in any and every other thing, and put it in Him.
🛅Confess Him today as Lord and saviour of your life and newness will all begin.
Prayer:
Father thank You for loving me and choosing me, thank You for not counting my sin against me but instead buying me with Your blood. I thank You for I have learnt to trust You and in this new journey, I will be dependent on You for all my life. Give me Your Holyspirit as promised to help me on this new walk with You, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
