People can follow you because the want something from but not fully accept you. This is true about the crowds during the triumphant entry of Jesus to Jerusalem as King and Lord. They outwardly celebrated Him but inwardly rejected Him. It was a matter of time. Excitement without surrender to Jesus as King and Lord is empty.Matthew 21:1-11
